The March Celestial Timings are Dedicated to ALL those who have gone before us and to Kwan Yin who reminds of the gifts of Loving Kindness and Compassion. Three and a half years ago near the end of a long challenging Pluto cycle that created many major life changes for me, my beloved three and a half foot tall Kwan Yin statue, someone had gifted me, tipped over in a mysterious way and broke into what seemed like millions of pieces. I was devastated. I didn't know she was made out of plaster but even so the way she exploded was beyond logic and reason. I knew a new Kwan Yin was coming to me though I didn't know how or when.

Last month a new solid stone Kwan Yin magically returned to my life as an early Birthday Present inspiring me to dedicate these Celestial Timings to her. In the late 90’s I used the above Mantra when I dedicated the Celestial Timings to those who had died and so I am honoring all of them here along with a few new ones while also including ALL who have gone before us. Visible Planets (These are the highlights for this month with more details and interpretations shared in the Daily Timings)

Sun enters Zero Aries, March Equinox Solar Gate at 4:44 am PDT on March 20
Mercury begins the month near Jupiter and Mars in the Morning Sky. Mercury disappears from the Morning Sky March 22 and reappears in evening sky April 9.
Venus goes Retrograde on March 6 leaves the evening sky and conjuncts the Sun on March 27 preparing to begin a new cycle with heliacal rise on April 3. Venus disappears from evening sky March 25 and reappears April 3.
Mars is visible in the morning sky near Jupiter and Mercury as the month begins.
Jupiter moved into Aquarius on January 5 and visible in the morning sky in the constellation of the Goat Fish near the fixed star Dorsum. A dark sky is needed to see the stars of this constellation but Jupiter will be easy to spot.
Saturn officially becomes an evening star on March 8 when it reaches opposition to the Sun rising as the Sun sets. Although in the seasonal sign of Virgo Saturn is still located in the constellation of the Lion.

Neptune (24 Aquarius 35 to 25 Aquarius 35) stations retrograde May 28/29 at 26 Aquarius 29 and stations direct on November 4, 2009 at 23 Aquarius 42. Neptune (25 Aquarius) opposes the Sun (25 Leo) on August 17.
Pluto (02 Capricorn 59 to 03 Capricorn 18) stations retrograde April 4, 2009 (03 Capricorn 18) and at 00 Capricorn 39 on September 11. Pluto (2 Capricorn) opposes the Sun (2 Cancer) June 23.

Stars worth noting in the Night Sky this Month
The Sacred Hoop of Stars (as they were known to the Lakota Sioux and other Plains Indians) are high in the sky after Sunset. This configuration of stars is what astronomer’s sometimes call the ‘winter hexagon’ though the Sacred Hoop includes the Pleiades on the outer edge rather than Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull. The top star of the Hoop this month is Capella and moving clockwise includes the Pleiades, Rigel, Sirius, and Procyon, and Pollux and Castor.

The Ecliptic (plane of the solar system and the path the planets travel) and the Milky Way (plane of the galaxy) intersect near the middle of this hoop of Stars forming a cross within a circle. The place of the intersection occurs at what is called the Galactic Edge, where we look out beyond our Galaxy. The center point of the cross is located between the feet of the Twins and the horns of the Bull. This intersection is the place in the sky where the summer solstice (0 degree Cancer) is currently located.

Orion and the Hyades are located inside the Hoop and are easily spotted this time of year. Interestingly, the Mayans perceived the sword of Orion as a sacred fire of creation inside a fire pit. Modern astronomers have discovered this is a place where new stars are being birthed!

Heaven’s Gate is a configuration of Stars that form a great equilateral triangle with two stars that form the outer edge of the Sacred Hoop already mentioned and they are Sirius and Procyon. The third star is Betelgeuse marking the shoulder of Orion. These stars were known as ‘Heavens Gate’ to Alaskan Shaman’s and represent another version of an entry point or entrance into incarnation. Another stellar triangle is also becoming more visible this month rising later in the evening marking the tail of the Lion and featuring the bright star Denebola, 43 light years away.

Reminder: All the events listed in the Celestial Timings have a minimum three day impact including the day before and the day after. In many cases, the planetary effects extend into weeks, months and even years. Noting the sign and degree of the aspects and planets helps you to know if these events are directly affecting your own natal chart. Morning Sky Planets March 1

Daily Timings

Mar 01, Sunday. The waxing Taurus Moon is visible approaching the Pleiades. (see March 30) Mercury is conjunct Mars (19 Aquarius) and Jupiter is within seven degrees. These three Morning stars are reminding us to enlarge our vision beyond the contemplation of the Age of Aquarius and to understand how these cycles are part of an even BIGGER once in 26,000 year Galactic alignment. Jupiter, Mercury and Mars are all in the constellation of the Sea Goat or Goat Fish (a.k.a Capricorn) as mentioned in the February 2009 Celestial Timings. So why do we say that Jupiter , Mercury and Mars are the SIGN of Aquarius? Bear with me as understanding this is a key to understanding the As Above, So Below mysteries and awakening latent knowing that can transform our reality in the twinkling of an eye by waking up and even greater Galactic Awareness. The Ecliptic, Celestial Equator and Precession diagram

In ancient Sumerian times it was the Spring Equinox that marked the New Year. This was because the Spring Equinox was aligned with the Galactic Edge along the Galactic Plane, meaning the Sun rose in this area of the sky when spring began. The Spring Equinox is determined when the Sun reaches zero Aries (or the seasonal point that marks the beginning of Spring and the experience of equal length to our days and nights). Now 6500 years later due to the precession or movement of these points through space the Summer Solstice (zero Cancer) is located in this area of the sky meaning that the stars that are with the Sun at the Summer Solstice were the same stars that were with the Spring Equinox 6500 years ago. Another way to say this is the signs or seasons move through the constellations.

Long ago (over 2000 years ago) the Winter Solstice (marked by zero Capricorn and the longest night of the year) was located in the constellation also known as the Sea Goat. Because the Signs move through the constellations over time, the zero point of Capricorn or the Winter Solstice is now located at the Galactic Cross between the constellation of the Archer and the Scorpion exactly opposite of where the Summer Solstice is currently located near the Galactic Edge. Several thousand years ago when the Winter Solstice was located in the constellation of the Sea Goat it was a time when people forgot about the precession of the Equinoxes and Solstices and so they named the signs and constellations the same name, hence the present day confusion that encompasses present day astronomers and astrologers from both the tropical and sidereal perspectives.

Ancients depiction of the Goat Fish Back in the days when the Winter Solstice was located in the Goat Fish it was the time of year when the Sun was beginning to ascend toward longer days and climbing higher towards its Northern track. To this day at this time of year it is when the Sun is staying in the sky longer each day as we move toward Spring and Summer. Prior to the Winter Solstice the Sun is dropping lower and lower southward meaning the days are growing shorter as the Sun travels a shorter arc and spends less time in the sky each day. There was a time when the ascent of the Sun that began after the Winter Solstice was moving through the Goat Fish constellation giving rise to the name Capricorn that translates to “horned goat” or “the one who climbs”.

The Goat climbs the mountain just as the Sun was climbing higher in the sky. So the association of the constellation of the Goat with Capricorn worked in those times. However, due to the precession or movement of the seasons what we find now is the season of Aquarius that begins 30 days after the Winter Solstice (when the days are lengthening and the Sun is still ascending) the stars behind the Sun are the Goat Fish/Capricorn constellation. Remember the stars are different than the seasonal signs so this is not the time of year we associate with the season of Capricorn.

The correlation of the any constellation with any sign changes over time with each sign shifting into a new constellation about every 2100 years. Over 26,000 years each season or sign will move through each of the constellations. It is a fact that there are many more years before the Spring Equinox actually reaches the boundaries of the WaterBearer (also named Aquarius giving rise to what is called the Age of Aquarius). What is most important to remember is the BIGGER event happening now is the alignment of the Solstices with Galactic Plane heralding the Turning of a 26,000 year age not merely a 2100 year shift. The Galactic Cross between Archer and the Scorpion

Mar 02, Monday. The waxing Moon occults the Pleiades late tonight or early tomorrow morning visible in NW Canada, Alaska and Russia as it moves into Gemini and travels through the Sacred Hoop through March 6. This is the first of two occultations this month and already the third of eleven taking place this year. The Pleiades were an important Stargate symbol to the Mayans and they tracked the 26,000 year cycle of when our Sun conjuncts the Pleiades during the days of no shadows. (See May 2008 Archives and the work of John Major Jenkins). The Pleiades were also connected to the mysteries of Tula or the place where Heaven and Earth unite, also referred to as Shamabala (or Shamballah) The word Shamballah (as it is also sometimes spelled) is the mythic place used to describe Heaven on Earth. The Pleiades were consider the stargate to Tula. When the Moon occults (or covers a star or planet) it accelerates the energy associated with that area of the sky creating a direct transmission or link from the Stars to the Earth via the Moon. Tuning into the Pleiades tonight and tomorrow is worthwhile.

In William Henry’s book The Peacemaker and The New Key of Life, he describes Tula as the name of “the dwelling of the Lord” or the place where we live Heaven on Earth, Shambala, the New Jerusalem. Tula is a name that refers to our Galactic Core where new codes of light and understanding are coming forth to transform our current reality. The Moon is transmitting directly from the Pleiadian Stargate also linked with the archetypal realm of Tula and is worth tuning into tonight. (see March 29, 30)

Mar 03, Tuesday. The Gemini First Quarter Moon (14 Gemini) is exact just before mid-night in the Pacific Time zone or early on March 4. Tonight the Moon will pass by the fixed star Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull, also seen by the ancients as the key to the Silver Gate where souls enter this realm.

This Gemini First Quarter Moon near Aldebaran is transmitting and activating the mysteries of the Coyote Trickster who defies reason and logic. The trickster it seems is designed to confound and perplex our minds and perceptions of reality and to ultimately take us beyond the experience of duality. This Gemini First Quarter Moon is a reminder that reality is not as real as we often believe it is. Gemini represents the mysteries that remind us of the importance of being in the moment, spontaneous, outrageous and fun, getting the cosmic joke, entertaining ourselves with what we do and how we do it, as well as embracing laughter as one of our greatest medicine tools. The trickster stretches our perception so new concepts and perceptions are possible. The trickster’s humorous antics teach us regardless of what the trickster actually had in mind. The Trickster may foolishly take us exactly where we need to be and will often cause us to laugh at ourselves and life along the way. (See March 30)

Mar 04, Wednesday. (Responding to the message of this day to March Forth and celebrate, enjoy and savor life I am also celebrating another birthday…Yay!!!) Jupiter is zodiacally aligned with the Fixed Star Dorsum at 13 Aquarius in the constellation of the Goat Fish as described in the March 1 Timings.

The fixed star Dorsum is currently located at 13 Aquarius and is found on the back of the Sea Dorsum on the Fixed Star Site http://www.constellationsofwords.com/stars/Stars_alphabet.htm Goat. Dr. Eric Morse, in his book The Living Stars, suggests the area of the sky from Dorsum (13 degrees Aquarius) to Fomalhaut (3 degrees and 30 minutes of Pisces) is, "an area of great hope for the world and many of our greatest figures in humanity have its strength prominent in their horoscopes." Planetary activity around the fixed star Dorsum is often associated with profound changes in our world.

Jupiter is found in this area of the sky about every 12 years or so expanding the possibilities of “great hope for the world” and remains in these degrees until February 2010. Plus we also have Mars, Chiron, Neptune and Mercury all hanging out in these degrees. Chiron Neptune and Jupiter are transiting through these degrees for the next few years. Jupiter moves beyond 3 Pisces by early 2010, Chiron doesn’t complete with 3 Pisces until 2012 and Neptune won’t be done with 3 Pisces until 2013. The faster moving planets are moving past much sooner. For example, Mercury passes by 3 Pisces by March 10 and Mars passes by 3 Pisces by March 18.

If you have natal planets or angles in this zone you are on the leading edge of the revolutionary changes that are inspiring “hope for the world”. Honoring and acknowledging the gift of Kwan Yin, Goddess of Mercy, Compassion and Forgiveness, who also brings hope to the world, we can ask for assistance that all our thoughts, feelings and actions are for the greatest good and highest purpose of all concerned. Mar 05, Thursday. On this day of the exact Mercury Neptune conjunction at 25 Aquarius and the exact Mars Chiron conjunction at 23 Aquarius we also have the “out-of-bounds” Moon crossing the Galactic Edge as it moves into Cancer reminding us of the importance of self-nurturing, self-forgiveness, and self-acceptance. With so many planets aligned in the area of the sky that symbolizes “hope for the world” the message for us is to look deeply at how well we are doing with showing ourselves Mercy and Compassion as the medicine that heals the wounds of self-rejection and self-judgment.

This includes Mercy and Compassion for others as we look at how we wound others by projecting our judgments onto them in an unconscious attempt to lessen our own pain. Often those we judge the most harshly are actually facilitating the greatest personal awakening and growth possible when we are willing to see that everything is purposeful in ways that support self-forgiveness as well as forgiving the unforgivable acts we have experienced or perpetrated on others. March 6 Venus stations retrograde

Mar 06, Friday. Happy Birthday to my magical twins who are turning 24 today on Michelangelo’s 534th birthday. Venus Stations Retrograde (15 Aries) for the next 42 days until April 17. The last time Venus went retrograde in Aries was March 8, 2001. However every 18 months Venus goes through a retrograde cycle from the Earth’s perspective and was most recently Venus retrograde in August of 2007. It takes Venus eight years to return to any given retrograde cycle As a planet appears to reverse direction from the Earth’s perspective feelings of disorientation and confusion are often experienced. It is wise to avoid lasting decisions during the week before and after this station. Retrogrades are not good or bad, they simply are an opportunity to go more deeply inward and discover something new.

The divine feminine archetypal expression in Aries is happiest when it is manifesting as the independent Amazon Warrior Wild Woman willing to fight for any cause she truly believes is just. She is also spirited, adventurous, and spontaneous. The next 40 days takes us collectively deeper into these mysteries. Those with Aries planets may feel these energies on a personal level as Venus initiates a deepening relationship with the Wild Woman archetype.

For those born in an eight year (8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 88, 96, 104, etc.) turning one of these ages between Aug 24, 2007 and April 3, 2009, this marks the final phase of your personal Venus return so this is an especially important time to note Venus in the evening sky and open to receive any transmissions that may be coming in designed to support the anchoring of the next phase of your divine feminine expression. Mar 07, Saturday. Moon moves into Leo transmitting the mysteries of radical radiant self love in ways that literally transform our physical bodies. In recent years much has been written about the evidence now showing up in some individuals indicating new strands in their DNA. In an article titled DNA and Cellular Changes: DNA Upgrades by Patricia Resch she is interviewing Dr. Berrenda Fox, a holistic practitioner of the Avalon Wellness Center that was in Mt. Shasta, California. The article was written a few years ago and the Avalon Wellness Center has since closed and yet this information remains inspirational as it describes the possibility of deep cellular changes that are now occurring in our physical bodies. Dr. Fox explains:

Everyone has one double helix of DNA. What we are finding is that THERE ARE OTHER HELIXES THAT ARE BEING FORMED. In the double helix there are two strands of DNA coiled into a spiral. It is my understanding that we will be developing twelve helixes. During this time, which seems to have started maybe 5 to 20 years ago, we have been mutating. This is the scientific explanation. It is a MUTATION OF OUR SPECIES into something for which THE END RESULT IS NOT YET KNOWN.

The changes are NOT KNOWN PUBLICLY, because the scientific community feels it would FRIGHTEN THE POPULATION. However, people are changing at the cellular level. Mar 08, Sunday. Mars conjuncts Neptune (24 Aquarius) suggesting this is a time for acting on our inspired visions and our deep inner knowing. One of the challenges of Mars is the tendency to act too quickly. One of the challenges of Neptune is to stay lost in the visions and perhaps not take any action at all. Healthy Mars and Neptune act not so much from logic and reason but rather from the divine guidance that reaches beyond the rational mind and mysteriously takes us exactly where we need to go even if it doesn’t make sense initially. Divinely guided spontaneous action greatly assists this process.

Mercury moves into Pisces until March 25 speeding through Pisces in just 17 days energizing the wisdom of the compassionate heart. Mercury in Pisces is not about figuring things out in a left brain linear way through logic and reason. Rather this is an expression of the mind that is more right brained, creative. This is not a time to TRY and figure things out logically and rationally. This further supports the intention of today’s Mars Neptune conjunction.

Additionally the Sun (19 Pisces) is opposite Retrograde Saturn (19 Virgo) marking the center point of the current Saturn retrograde cycle. Contrary to popular belief that a planet is diminished when it is retrograde from the Earth’s perspective what we see from Earth is a retrograde planet is always closest and brightest in appearance (or most spectacular to our senses) during its retrograde cycle. This Timing is similar to a Full Moon only it is Saturn that is opposite the Sun and that provides an illumination that can help us see more clearly what needs restructuring within the our personal and collective web of life. Mar 09, Monday. The nearly Full Moon moves into Virgo today calling our awareness to the heirophant mysteries held in safe keeping and passed down through the ages by the hierophants, who are the keepers and revealers of sacred knowledge and wisdom. They are also the keepers of the mysteries around the hierophanies, or the manifestations and revelations of the sacred world, including natural and constructed sacred sites with astronomical alignments tracking the seasonal cycles of Earth and Sky.

The Virgo Full Moon window begins today, is exact tomorrow, and closes the day after. This is a good time to remember the sacred rhythms and cycles we encounter daily including the cycles of rest and activity, growth and decline, day and night and the ongoing cycles of birth, growth, fruition, integration, death and rebirth archetypally expressed through the planets and signs. There is the consistency of the monthly cycle of the Moon, the annual seasonal cycles and regular planetary cycles all with their own individual rhythm. Awareness of and participation with these outer cycles helps us to also more consciously participate with our own inner cycles increasing awareness of how we are expressing within the overall patterning of life. Mar 10, Tuesday. The Virgo Full Moon (21 Virgo) is conjunct Saturn and opposite Uranus. Tonight the Moon is rising just before the Sun sets and reaches exact fullness about an hour after Moonrise in the Pacific Time Zone and three hours after in the Eastern Time Zone. This Full Moon is also linked with the Saturn Uranus opposition illuminating unplanned for unexpected shifts in our perception and our structural reality designed to support the more refined vibrational patterns that are becoming the new forms and the new structures of the New Earth. This is a great time to go outside and ceremonially witness the Moon rise and shortly thereafter the Sun set. Mar 11, Wednesday. The still very Full Moon is moving into Libra shining the light of awareness that helps us free ourselves of co-dependent and counter-dependent* addictions or patterns that are so prevalent in our current culture. In essence the Libra mysteries are now exploring the concept of interdependence based on trust and knowing what we can achieve together is way beyond what we can achieve alone. Together we can accomplish things that could not be accomplished without this kind of partnership. It is similar to the saying that two can carry a long way what one person cannot lift on their own.

*(Note – co-dependent here means any kind of psychologically dependent ways of relating that are unhealthy especially when our sense of self revolves around a significant other and counter-dependent is defined as…where everything the other is doing is questioned actively - denying the value the other brings - and therefore feeling you have to second-guess motive due to fear of being hurt or used).

Today marks the annual Sun conjunction with Uranus (23 degrees Pisces) catalyzing unexpected changes supporting radical compassionate healing through revolutionary events and ideas designed to shift or even shatter our current beliefs or perceptions of reality. The Sun and Uranus together have a sense of great magic connected to them especially when we consider the power of this combination to dislocate our current assemblage point for the purpose of creating greater freedom. Mar 13, Friday. Kwan Yin Feast Day. http://www.hermes3.net/mar309.htm The Moon moves into Scorpio transmitting the mysteries of Death and Rebirth and the power of embracing our shadow side. Much of the shadow of the Scorpio mysteries and their antidote are described in the following Kwan Yin Prayer for the Abuser. Note the reference to the importance of expressing the feelings that have been repressed and denied. Indeed, when these denied feelings begin to surface unconsciously that is the leading cause of these unhealthy shadow expressions.

It is important that we give ourselves permission to feel what we feel in ways that do not inflict pain on others but rather help us to express and release the deep seated pain and transform it. It is also a reflection of what it looks like to forgive the unforgiveable with the blessings of Love, Compassion and Grace and their power to transform. This is Kwan Yin’s gift.

Mar 14, Saturday. Mars moves into Pisces until April 22 further energizing the mysteries of radical compassion for ourselves and for others. Pisces asks how can I help and heal? In the book The Places that Scare You by Pema Chodron the gift of radical compassion is described as a useful tool for how to help and heal ourselves. (See also Mar 13 and 15)

When we touch the center of sorrow, when we sit with discomfort without trying to fix it, when we stay present to the pain of disapproval or betrayal and let it soften us, these are the times that we connect with bodhichitta (Pema defines bodhichitta as follows….chitta is “mind” and “heart” and ‘”attitude” and bodhi is “awake”, “enlightened” or “completely open”. Sometimes the completely open heart and mind of the bodhichitta is called the soft spot, a place as vulnerable and tender as an open wound).

Tapping into that shaky and tender place has a transformative effect. Being in this place may feel uncertain and edgy but it’s also a big relief. Just to stay there even for a moment, feels like a genuine act of kindness to ourselves. Being compassionate enough to accommodate our fears takes courage, of course, and it definitely feels counterintuitive. But it’s what we need to do.

Mar 16, Monday. Waning Moon enters Sagittarius today energizing the mysteries of the spiritual quest that expands self - understanding, knowledge and the meaning of life. Looking ahead at the upcoming triple conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune with Chiron just 15 minutes away on May 27 we have a rare Aquarian planetary combination further magnifying the abundant Aquarian themes that mark this year. The data on this conjunction for those who want to check out how this aligns with your own chart is Neptune and Jupiter at 26Aquarius28 on May 27, 2009 at 6:16 pm Eastern Time or 3:13 pm Pacific Time with Chiron nearby at 26 Aquarius13 just one day before Neptune stations retrograde at 26 Aquarius 29 and 4 days before Chiron stations retrograde at 26 Aquarius 14 and a little over two weeks before Jupiter stations retrograde on June 15 at 27 Aquarius 01.

The last time Neptune and Jupiter were together like this it was April 9, 1843 at 20 Aquarius 59. A few days earlier on March 16, 1843 Venus, Neptune and Moon all linked up around 20 Aquarius with Jupiter at 18 Aquarius. Chiron was in the opposite area of the sky around 10 degrees Leo. When we include Chiron we see how rare this current triple conjunction is. Jupiter and Neptune actually conjunct every 13 years in different signs and again it was 1843 the last time they came together in Aquarius. In the 165 year orbit of Neptune there is usually only one time the Jupiter and Neptune come together in Aquarius. The next time will be in 2176 on January 19 at 29 Aquarius 57 at 3:55 am Mountain Time. Unfortunately my current astrology program doesn’t calculate Chiron that far out in time.

This year there will be a total of three conjunctions of Neptune and Jupiter. The first is May 27 (26 Aquarius), the second is July 9 (again at 26 Aquarius) and the third is at the Winter Solstice on Dec 21 (at 24 Aquarius). The first Jupiter Neptune Conjunction finds Chiron within a quarter degree, the second one in July is within a half a degree and the last one in December is within 2 degrees.

I have already explained why these times are way BIGGER than the beginning of the Age of Aquarius (see Mar 1) however, this year marks a powerful initiation in Aquarian themes that extend from the Celestial World (Neptune) and reach into the Underworld (Chiron) to expand the Aquarian Egalitarian ideals in our Middle World Reality (Jupiter). This was powerfully expressed in these lines from the 1960’s musical Hair and the song that was so prevalent on the internet last month. The harmony and understanding, trust abounding in Golden Living Dreams, Mystic crystal revelations and minds true liberation are all Aquarian themes while Chiron’s presence supports the shamanic healing of falsehoods and derisions.

Mar 18, Wednesday. The Sagittarius Last Quarter Moon (28 Sag) is located at Galactic Center and then quickly moves to conjunct Pluto in early Capricorn marking the integration phase of the current Moon cycle before it returns to a new Moon. (see March 16 and 19)

Mercury (17 Pisces) is opposite Saturn (17 Virgo) creating a Full Moon like awareness with possibly interesting tensions between Mercury who loves to move fast and Saturn who moves slowly. Mercury is still in the morning sky just about 12 degrees from the Sun and disappears from the morning sky on March 22. Saturn is rising before the Sun setting just before the Sun rises. Mercury is the fastest moving visible planet. Saturn is the slowest moving visible planet. Mercury is the messenger bringing the messages of compassion and understanding to Saturn’s process of how to restructure a healthy sacred relationship with the Earth that is guided by a balance of the heart and the mind.

Mar 19, Thursday. Today marks another Green Man festival day that became the Feast of St. Joseph. http://www.hermes3.net/mar309.htm The Moon entered Capricorn yesterday and met with Pluto and has been transmitting the mysteries that teach us how to more effectively administrate the domain of our earthly life. When in balance the Capricorn mysteries operate with awareness of how our actions effect the next seven generations and how we contribute to the health and well being of our personal and collective environment. This is where we benefit from tapping into the wisdom of the Circles of Grandmothers that are emerging all across the planet.

Mar 20, Friday. Happy Spring Equinox. The Sun enters Aries at 4:44 am Pacific Time marking the Vernal Equinox when the Sun is exactly aligned with the Earth’s equator rising due East and setting due West infusing the magnetic field of the Earth with solar energy in a rhythmic cycle linked with the seasons. The Upanishads described the Sun as “…door of the world, an entrance for the knowing…” The position of the Sun in relationship to the Earth at the Equinoxes opens a solar gateway or doorway encouraging us to notice what is occurring in our dreamtime, our mediation time, and our ritual or ceremonial time. It is good time to notice if we are allowing the magic of this timing to support the visions and inspiration available in this window? (See Celebrating the Equinoxes and the March 2008 Archives)

An additional factor to note is that the Great Pyramid of Giza is exactly coded with the celestial mysteries of the precession of Solstices and Equinoxes. Our current understanding of the precessional cycle says it lasts precisely 25,827.5 years. This sacred geometry is built into the Giza Great Pyramid. The two base-diagonal angles of the pyramid taken together, along with the width of the Grand Gallery of the pyramid multiplied by pi (3.14159), and the altitude of the Great Pyramid lying above the floor of the king’s Chamber multiplied by pi all equal 25,827.5 or the exact number of years of the precessional cycle. Here again is an example of As Above, So Below found in an ancient site. This is a reminder that we all carry the codes of knowledge and sacred geometry designed to transform our experience of the space time continuum. This is now manifesting in the Middle Word as Greater Love.

Mar 21, Saturday. Mercury is conjunct Uranus (23 Pisces) calling us to explore and experience new territory in the domain of the mind, communication and visionary inspiration. Uranus brings change, often in unexpected ways, and teamed up with Mercury, the messages of change are innovative, cutting edge, unpredictable, and expansive. We are being called to go beyond ordinary modes of thinking, expanding our abilities to think outside the box and entertain radical and unusual viewpoints while continuing to further open our minds to the constantly evolving revolutionary possibilities that are inspiring the fulfillment of our divine destiny. This is a time to pay attention to the incoming messages, through various possibilities. It could be a song, a movie, an incident, a conversation, an insight or “aha”, or simply a sense of what is changing and growing within our awareness.

Mar 22, Sunday. The waning Moon conjuncts Jupiter and then catches up to Chiron and Neptune early tomorrow morning. During the coming months of this Aquarian triple conjunction there will be at least one time each month when the Moon passes by to further illuminate what is being initiated and deepened in our personal and mass consciousness. Neptune, Jupiter and Aquarius are visionary archetypal energies bringing a renewal of vision and calling upon our creative imagination and willingness to experiment with new innovative and revolutionary ideas that facilitate evolution and change.

Chiron is a comprehensive healing archetypal energy and in Aquarius works with cutting edge, innovative, technologies and visionary forms of healing. All this year Grandmother Moon during her monthly meeting with these planets is transmitting insights, inspiration and wisdom. If you have planets or angles between 21 and 27 degrees of Fixed Signs or the Signs of Self-Interest (Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio, Taurus) this is an especially important time to tune in as these are accents points in your own personal initiation process.

Mar 23, Monday. The Moon moves into Pisces transmitting the mysteries of inspired dreaming, dreaming our biggest dreams. This is the time to imagine and or “pretend” that they already exist. Energy follows our thoughts, words, and actions. That means when we imagine it, decree it so, and act decisively with love, gratitude and appreciation in our hearts then we know the dreams of our divine destiny are already manifesting even if we don’t know exactly how or what they will look like.

The Sun (3 Aries) squares Pluto (3 Capricorn) and signals the upcoming Pluto station retrograde on April 4. This is an important time for anyone with planets or angles between Zero and 4 degrees of Householder/Cardinal signs (Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, Libra) because you are in the midst of a Pluto initiation suggesting it is time to die to who you believe yourself to be and open to an empowered rebirth. Surrendering your attachments and letting go of the old forms greatly assists this initiatory process. Today’s Sun square to Pluto is further illuminating any remaining shadow places including our fears, limiting beliefs about who we are, our forgotten and/or denied talents, abilities and skills, our buried feelings and unconscious wounds.

When we are willing to turn toward what we fear and integrate it in our life we are no longer driven by it. When we are no longer driven by fear it loses its power to direct our lives. Pluto’s job is to help us transform our experience from being at the effect of whatever fear is driving us to incorporating it in such a way that it becomes our strength, our gift, the medicine we carry. Willingness to surrender fear based beliefs, habits, attitudes, addictions and expectations does not guarantee instant results, however simply being willing is all that is needed to support and help facilitate an easier transformation process. Resistance intensifies the energy of Pluto and the need to create circumstances beyond your control that force change. Willingness, surrender, and acceptance are keys that further empower Pluto’s process of transformation.

Mar 24, Tuesday. The Moon conjuncts Mars (7 Pisces) energizing the mysteries of the compassionate heart, reminding us to not only have compassion for others but especially to have compassion for our own challenges and wounds, loving and accepting who we are even though we may not feel we are perfect or acceptable. (see March 14)

Mar 25, Wednesday. Mercury is passing over the Spring Equinox point of 0 degrees Aries passing through this area of the sky until April 9 symbolizing the process of the mind experiencing inspired and energetic new beginnings designed to initiate new ideas and projects. Mercury is speeding through Aries in 16 days moving from an exact conjunction with Sun to an evening star appearance on April 9 as it shifts signs to Taurus. This means Mercury is not visible during its entire passage through Aries due to its close proximity to the Sun (the source). In Shamanic Astrology this is referred to as the pyschopomp phase of Mercury where Mercury acts an initiatory guide. One way to view this is Mercury is receiving a 16 day upgrade to the archetypal software that runs the Aries programming.

Mercury represents our beliefs, perceptions, communication style, and how our mind works. Mercury in Aries is spontaneous, always ready to explore new territory and in essence "rushing in where angels fear to tread." Mercury in Aries is quick to intuitively act before taking time to reflect and sometimes that is exactly what is needed or opportunities can be lost. From now until April 9 Mercury acting as the psychopomp is taking us further and faster into new territory than we would normally go. (See March 26, 27 and 30)

Mar 26, Thursday. Today is the Aries New Moon (6 Aries) and the Moon conjuncts retrograde Venus just prior to the Sun conjunction tomorrow. This is where Venus is reborn into a new archetype of the feminine, in this case the fiercely committed warrior energy dedicated to furthering her cause. Nothing pleases Aries more than to set off on a mission they truly believe is divinely inspired. hat mission or purpose are you being called to now? What inspired action are you willing to take that is aligned with your heart-knowing and furthers your personal growth?

Mar 27, Friday. Mercury (3 Aries) squares Pluto (3 Capricorn) and Sun conjuncts retrograde Venus (7 Aries) accelerating the messages possible from the realm of underworld treasures that are now coming to light. Remember, Pluto is also the God of Wealth. These treasures may be talents and abilities we have lost awareness of or it may be wisdom and insights that have been forgotten. This Sun conjunction with Venus marks the center point of Venus in her short few days in the underworld before she rises as a morning star on April 3.

These two underworld aspects are calling our attention to any fears or unresolved issues we have that are holding us back from connecting with the genie (or genius) within. If we have been resistant to discovering the magnificent treasures buried deep within us this is a time when we may find they are not easily ignored. If we have been doing the work of taking personal responsibility, forgiving ourselves and others for any perceived wrongs or hurts, and releasing any judgments we have toward ourselves or others this could be magical time when these treasures are coming more fully to the light of our awareness. This also marks the transformation or shift of Venus from the Leo archetypal expression to that of Aries so it is a rebirth or reincarnation into a different expression of the Goddess.

Mar 28, Saturday. The Moon moves into Taurus energizing the archetypal domain that includes the lost art of healthy receivership. Takers, or those who take without regard to how it affects others for their own selfish gain, are a part of the shadow expression of receiving. Giving to get is a shadow expression of giving. Genuine giving is done without strings attached. Healthy receivership occurs when genuine gratitude and appreciation are expressed. Genuine giving and receiving comes from a place of love without expectations or obligations or feeling a need to “pay it back”. A daily practice of gratitude helps to experience healthy forms of giving and receiving.

Mercury meets in council with retrograde Venus (6 Aries) as she prepares to begin her next journey. Again Aries is the archetypal expression of the feminine that upholds the natural order of universal divine law. She is also known as the Goddess of Victorious Triumph. One mythical Goddess, that embodies these mysteries from the Egyptian pantheon, is Sekhmet, the lion headed Goddess who upholds the law of Maat, or cosmic law and order. Sekhmet is the feminine face of the Sun, daughter of Ra, whose fierce dedication, commitment and willingness to act, protects the divine order of life. (See March 25, 26 and 27)

Mar 29, Sunday. The Moon is approaching the Pleiades tonight and will be visible just beyond the Pleiades by tomorrow night. (See March 1)

Looking ahead Mars (11 Pisces) is moving to oppose retrograde Saturn (16 Virgo) and will be exact next month. Mars also joins with Uranus by mid-April, and retrograde Venus (5 Aries) is returning to square Pluto (3 Capricorn) just as Venus rises up as a morning star on April 3. Pluto stations retrograde April 4. Venus represents the divine feminine and Mars represents the divine masculine. Both are encountering powerful initiatory energies. Venus is preparing to express through the Amazon Warrior who is ready to fight for what she knows is a just cause. Pluto is requiring Venus to face her deepest fears, including the fear of death. Mars is engaging the compassionate energy of the Bodhisattva who holds the safe space of compassion for whatever is felt in the moment. The initiation for Mars is through unexpected events helping create new structures of safety that operate from the premise “if it is not good for everyone, then it is not good for anyone!”

These archetypal expressions of the masculine and feminine seem to be a role reversal and not typical of how our current culture views them, however if all 12 archetypes of the feminine were honored and valued in our culture and all 12 archetypes of the masculine were honored and valued, the spectrum of humanity would gain a new experience of wholeness. Over the next weeks it may be interesting to take note of how these archetypes are showing up in your experience.

For example, my 24 year old Venus in Aries daughter is currently in Washington DC as part of a Green Peace internship. She is actively gathering tools and learning effective ways to take a stand for our beloved Earth and to fight for this cause she knows is part of her mission in this life.

My youngest son (age 18) has Mars in Pisces. He genuinely cares about how others feel and consciously works to balance his desire to be of service and support to others and also take care of his own needs in healthy ways. Recently he was forced to make a painful decision that allowed someone he loved to face their own wounds. This was not easy as it is contrary to his desire to help, rescue and fix. My young son had to withdraw his presence from the situation when he realized it was the most compassionate and loving thing he could do for himself and for the other person. And in many ways this took a great deal more courage than picking up a sword and going into battle.

Mar 30, Monday. The Moon occults the Pleiades in the early morning hours visible in China and Russia for the second time this month. Because the Pleiades covers the last degree of Taurus and the first degree of Gemini the waxing Moon is also moving into the trickster domain of Gemini. Noticing where the waxing Moon is tonight near the Pleiades stimulates greater conscious access to the light codes of this Pleiadian Stargate.

Plus the Sun conjuncts Mercury (9 Aries) in the pyschopomp phase of the Mercury Cycle. The pyschopomp is a guide for souls taking them where they need to go. This is the phase of Mercury cycle where Mercury is on the opposite side of the Sun from Earth and is not visible in either the morning or the evening sky. Mercury will return to the evening sky on April 9. With the focus on the Moon occultation over the Pleiades it is interesting to note that one of the seven sisters of the Pleiades, Maia, was the mother of Hermes who the Romans referred to as Mercury. Hermes and Mercury were the main messengers of the Greek and Roman Gods and both were not only messengers but also tricksters.

A ccording to the Greeks, Hermes is the offspring of Zeus and Maia (as mentioned above). Down through the ages Hermes has been considered a guardian at crossroads, the trickster and messenger coming and going from this world and the next, moving from the above to the below or vice versa. It is interesting to note that the planet Mercury appears and disappears shifting from Morning Sky to Evening Sky to Morning Sky etc…more than any other visible planet in our Solar System.

Hermes was also known as a thief. His most famous heist was to steal his older brother Apollo’s cattle and hide them in a cave where they couldn’t be found. Apollo was straight forward, a God of Reason and Science, and Hermes as younger brother and trickster forced Apollo to look beyond reason to see into places previously unknown to him. Thus, Hermes is the bringer of dreams and a guide to the Underworld carrying the caduceus or the staff of healing reminding us that genuine healing occurs when we can laugh at ourselves and appreciate the humor of life. This quote from Byrd Gibbens Professor of English at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock tells us:

Many native traditions held clowns and tricksters as essential to any contact with the sacred. People could not pray until they had laughed, because laughter opens and frees from rigid preconception. Humans had to have tricksters within the most sacred ceremonies for fear that they forget the sacred comes through upset, reversal, surprise. The trickster in most native traditions is essential to creation, to birth.

Mar 31, Tuesday. Chiron (24 Aquarius) and Neptune (25 Aquarius) do not actually come into their exact conjunction until Feb 16, 2010. However, Neptune stations retrograde on May 28 (at 26 Aquarius 29) and Chiron stations retrograde on May 31 (at 26 Aquarius 14) within 15 minutes of being exactly conjunct. Interestingly, in 2010 at the Feb 16 conjunction the exact degree is 26 Aquarius 14 the precise degree of Chiron’s station in May of this year. Neptune represents a Celestial World initiation and Chiron represents an Underworld Initiation bringing together the Above and Below that incorporate deep elements of emotional and psychological healing through the high vibration of Grace helping to transmute the wounds that have prevented a Middle World experience of Freedom and Equality for all life.

Chiron http://www.gods-heros-myth.com/graphics/centaur.jpg Chiron combines the archetypal nature of animal (horse) and human in his Centaur form and he is a master teacher of many things though most known for his skills as a master healer. When Chiron experiences a fatal wound that would be instant death to any mortal but because he is immortal he does not die, he is set on a quest to heal and ultimately transform the agony of this wound so that it becomes the ultimate gift, liberating him from his Earthly life and becoming a teaching that benefits us to this day. Economic Awareness (excerpts from article that appreared in the October 2002 edition of the "Prosperity" newsletter, Glasgow, Scotland: A New Paradigm for Monetary Reform by Philip Snow

...We have allowed the governing people in our societies, to create a system for the supply of money which reflects a supposed lack of resources. However, were we to remember that our essential state is spirit, linked to the infinity of life, we would create a system of money supply which reflected that...

A NEW (Economic) PARADIGM
Therefore, and here is the new paradigm, if we seek to reform the supply of money, we need to reform the perception of who we are, our place and purpose in life, and thus raise our state of consciousness. Having done so, it will become more widely and readily apparent that the monetary system which has prevailed for three centuries needs reform. The million pound/euro/dollar question is how do we achieve that? ... I see movement towards a rising of consciousness which would support our efforts to reform the money supply. The question now is: how would this higher consciousness be reflected in the money supply?

My experience is that money can be manifested when it is called for. This seems not to be conditional upon one's deserving or anything else. It seems to be conditional only upon one's state of consciousness, and even then it is only the ease and speed of manifestation which is different. The higher the state of consciousness, the easier and faster the money is manifested. So by raising one's own state of consciousness, and more importantly by raising collective consciousness, by which we are all held down, the manifestation of money is facilitated. To give you some idea of how I believe this would appear at a day-to-day, practical level, here are a few levels, ranging from today's low to a heavenly high:

1. At today's level of collective consciousness, money is somewhat hard to manifest. Its supply is restricted by a governing force which seeks to keep people under control, and to accumulate as much of the perceived shortage of resources, and creative power, to itself. As we see, the governing world elite restricts money supply, loans it repayable with interest, and engages in restrictive practices.
2. At a somewhat higher level of consciousness, money becomes easier to manifest at both individual and collective levels. More 'debt-free' money is created, more systems of exchange are created. The flow of money is facilitated. People feel that money is easier to obtain and the pressure on resources eases, reducing inflationary tendencies. Universal, basic wages are provided to reduce poverty; people no longer have to take multiple jobs, fewer spouses work, leading to improved quality of family and community life.
3. At the next level there is a much freer availability of money and resources but we have not yet reached a level of community or world responsibility where people can use resources freely. Governments mature to the point where they reflect the needs and desires of their populace, but they continue to exert a governing influence. Resources are made more freely available yet under a degree of control.
4. At a yet higher level of consciousness world poverty is eradicated, and more of Nature's inherent potential is actualised leading to greater availability and use of renewable resources and infinite energy for everyone. Work becomes a lifestyle choice rather than a necessity. Desires are more readily fulfilled leading to a lessening of the perceived value of money. Status-seeking is reduced and greed is reduced as competition for more readily available resources lessens.
5. At a level where we have created a Heaven on Earth there is no longer any need for money as such. Desires are fulfilled virtually instantly and Nature pours forth her bounty as if there is no end to it.

So to conclude, I propose the paradigm that the supply of money is a function of our level of collective consciousness, and that reform in the supply of money will come as a reflection of our society's rising level of consciousness. It is appropriate for us to investigate how the supply of money can be facilitated. We can feel confident that over the next few years our efforts will bear fruit. The perceived immovable forces behind the western economy will lose their power, and people will become more relaxed about money as they find it more readily available. This will promote further reform, and more ease in the manifestation of money, as the present level of stress about money is dissipated. Will monetary reform lead to raising of consciousness, or will raising of consciousness lead to monetary reform? I suggest the one will facilitate the other, whichever happens first, and that reforming the creation of money will pave the steps to Heaven....
