City of furtureCome to the City of the Future. Tula shines in all her glory. Here are the buildings unlike those we build, yet they have breathless beauty. Here people dress in materials we know not, travel in manners beyond our knowledge, but more important than all this difference are the faces of the people. Gone is the shadow of fear and suffering, for humanity no longer sacrifices, and has outgrown the wars of childhood. Now humanity walks in full stature toward its destiny – into the golden age of learning. ~William Henry The Peacemaker and the New Key of Life
(see January 23 and 25)

This coming year again features a rare planetary line-up that promises to catalyze intensely powerful and important Middle World changes. Last year was the triple conjunction of Neptune (Celestial World Initiator), Jupiter (Middle World Initiator) and Chiron (Underworld Initiator). This year is the t-square between Pluto (Underworld Initiator), Saturn (Middle World Initiator) and Uranus (Celestial World Initiator) joined by Jupiter also a Middle World Initiator. Adding to the rarity of this event near the Cardinal Points of the Spring and Autumnal Equinox and the Winter Solstice is the rare alignment (for a time period once every 26,000 years) of these cardinal points on the Galactic Cross. Daniel Giamario and I created two recordings at the December Solstice that go into great depth about these events and why they are especially significant at this time. Knowing about and working with these energies assists us in even more consciously dreaming the dream onward. Info Here

Daily Timings

January 01, Friday. The New Year begins at mid-night with Sirius on the Mid-heaven or said another way crossing the meridian. Due to precession according to Guy Ottewell’s Astronomical Calendar this is now actually happening closer to January 2. (See Dec 31, Looking east around 9 p.m.2009 archives for more about Sirius). The New Year begins well within the Cancer Full Moon eclipse that happened yesterday. The Moon is at perigee or closest approach to the earth so tides are high and will conjunct the South Node sometime today depending on your time Zone. Plus the still Full Moon is visible about 7 degrees south of Pollux in the constellation of the Twins.

This year begins with 4 planets (Pluto, Venus, Sun and Mercury Retrograde) all in Capricorn along with the North Node emphasizing a Capricornian theme for the entire year as Pluto in Capricorn squares Saturn in Libra and Uranus and Jupiter in Aires join about mid-year. This indicates ongoing dissolution of the old structures. The more we try to hang onto the old forms the more challenging the changes will be. Accepting what IS, feeling what you really feel, and trusting the guidance you are receiving even when it doesn’t make logical sense from our old Middle World perspective are the best ways to engage with the energies of this coming year. Lastly, it helps to remember that love is always the answer to every question and love heals everything.

January 02, Saturday. The Sun today and then Venus on January 3 are conjunct the fixed star Nunki. Mercury passes by here on January 7 and 26. (See January 26)

The Moon moved into Leo last night and is visible approaching retrograde Mars tonight catching up in the early morning hours tomorrow depending on your time zone. The Mars quest for archetypal Leo is focused on self-love. When we are genuinely loving ourselves in a healthy way and naturally being who we really are, the energy we radiate inspires others and they feel happy to be in our presence because ultimately love especially self-love begets more love.

Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world. -Lucille Ball

January 03, Sunday. By moonrise tonight the Moon will have moved beyond retrograde Mars though their exact conjunction is in the early morning hours today. The Moon transmits the mysteries of the sign it is passing through and thus is helping to inform Mars of the deeper Leo mysteries including, as mentioned yesterday, self-love. Self-love is an essential key to anchoring the New Earth energy in our everyday reality.

Leo is most resonate with the archetypal energy of the Sun who shines on everyone and everything equally without ever questioning the validity of its radiance. The Moon is reflecting the light of Sun as it passes by Mars. Plus today the Earth has reached Perihelion or its closest approach to the Sun in its annual cycle and Mars is moving toward its closest approach to Earth in its 26 month cycle happening January 27.

"He that falls in love with himself will have no rivals." -Benjamin Franklin

January 04, Monday. Today marks the latest sunrise of the year around 7:22 am if youOcean Sun are at 40 degrees North Latitude. The earliest Sunrise of this year is June 14. The Moon is visible later tonight about 4 degrees SSW of Regulus and retrograde Mercury is conjunct the Sun beginning a new Mercury cycle that will last about 120 days.

Mercury’s connection with the Sun (14 Capricorn near the fixed star Nunki see January 26) on the day of the latest sunrise of the year draws our attention again to the power of the Sun in its seasonal cycle with the Earth and its regular cycle with Mercury. When Mercury is retrograde it is closest to the Earth. Every 120 days or so, the Sun and Mercury come together while Mercury is retrograde. Today marks the beginning of a new Mercury cycle in Capricorn. Although Mercury is not visible until January 15 the best morning appearance of Mercury this year is from January 15 to 30, with Mercury rising about 10 degrees above the horizon a good half hour before sunrise.

The new Mercury cycle in Capricorn is joined by Pluto at 3 Capricorn, Venus at 12 Capricorn, Sun at 14 Capricorn and the North Node is at 21 Capricorn all leading up to the New Moon Solar Eclipse on January 14 at 25 Capricorn. This means that Messenger Mercury has joined the Sun with additional council from Venus, Pluto and the North Node. This gathering so near the Sun, the source of light and life here on Earth, suggests a powerful examination of the existing rules and structures of our current reality to determine what no longer serves, what is ready to be released and shed so that new life supporting structures and rules are more easily embraced.

Remember Mercury Retrograde is often a time when communication is operating in ways that are unfamiliar. In their book Straight From the Heart, Layne and Paul Cutright remind us that what we heard isn’t necessarily what the other person was saying. This is especially true during Mercury retrograde. That is why it is important to clarify what you think you are hearing another person say.

How you hear what someone says is determined by your interpretations, and your interpretations flow from your past. This is very important to know, especially if you find that you overreact to what others say or habitually get your feelings hurt. . . . Remember, what someone said is not necessarily what you heard, and what you heard is not necessarily what they meant.

January 05, Tuesday. Mercury and Venus conjunct (13 Capricorn 22) very near the Sun at 15 Capricorn meaning neither Mercury or Venus are visible now due to their close proximity to the Sun. Following up on yesterday’s theme of communication this is an important time to be willing to listen to what the real messages are…

A good listener is someone who is curious, open-minded, and nonjudgmental. A good listener is not a know-it-all. A good listener knows that truth often reveals itself bit by bit, much like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. ~Layne and Paul Cutright, Straight From the Heart

The Moon moves into Libra tonight transmitting the mysteries of conscious equal partnership. This is not about being rescued by the other or finding the relationship that will complete you so you can finally be happy. This is about being willing to be your own best partner, do your sacred marriage work with your inner beloved and then from that place to genuinely engage more fulfilling relationships. Ultimately, it is this inner work that will reflect in our outer reality as a more loving, joyous, peaceful and harmonious experience.

magiJanuary 06, Wednesday. Epiphany (also known as the "The Adoration of the Magi" or "The Manifestation of God") ending the twelve days of Christmas as calculated in traditional times. This is the time when the Three Kings, Three Wise Men or Three Magi: Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar are honored for following the star to Bethlehem and bringing the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the Christ child. January 6 was the original date celebrating the birth of Christ and is still recognized and celebrated by the Eastern Christian Church.

Moon is conjunct Saturn (4 Libra 36) and is visible about 8 degrees to the SSW of Saturn in the morning sky. Saturn in Libra is a time to restructure our awareness and middle world experience around relationships. The Moon acts as an amplifier and together Saturn and the Moon are deepening the teachings around partnership and relationship. (See article )

Relationships are our primary teacher. They are the context in which we either grow into the consciousness of God, or deny ourselves and others the opportunity to do so. ~Marianne Williamson

Zaniah

It is also interesting to note that Saturn is hanging out with the fixed star Zaniah (4 Libra 31) most of this month due to its retrograde station on January 13. This star is located on the wing or shoulder of the Virgin Priestess. In his book the The Living Stars Eric Morse tells us Ptolmey called this star Zaniyah meaning "Adulteress" or "Harlot". The word Harlot first showed up in print around the 13th century and was used to describe a man “of no fixed occupation”. It could also refer to a juggler or jester of either sex, however by the 17th century its usage for men completely disappeared and was used to unfavorably describe women as prostitutes.

Harlot actually comes from the world hierodule (similar root as hierarchy) or priestess. According to Nancy Qualls Corbet in her book The Sacred Prostitute these women were the priestesses trained in the art of sacred sexuality in the temple. This was a sacred training highly honored and respected before it was reduced the expression of prostitution we are familiar with today. In the mythic telling of Gilagmesh there is again reference to the harlot or hierodule or priestess. This was part of the hierarchy or class system of those times and these women lived and served in temples dedicated to the goddess.

With Saturn hanging out near Zaniah this entire month it might be worthwhile to ponder what the original strength and meaning of this star was before the judgment of the patriarchy and the disbanding of the priestesses from the temples? How is Saturn assisting us in formulating a new healthy and empowering relationship with this sacred feminine aspect?

January 07, Thursday. Retrograde Mercury is making its second pass by the fixed star Nunki marking the Vane of the Arrow in the constellation of the Archer. (See January 26)

The Libra Last Quarter Moon (17 Libra) is exact early this morning and is visible near Spica tonight. Spica is another star symbolizing the sacred feminine as priestess or goddess. Indeed, Spica is a bright blue star marking the hand of the constellation known as the Virgin Priestess (a.k.a. Virgo – see difference between signs and constellations). The waning last quarter Moon near Spica suggests we have an opportunity to further integrate and assimilate the qualities of conscious, loving, sacred partnership with ourselves first, and then others, when we are willing to acknowledge and heal the separation most of us experience from source. It may be useful to tune in and consider how to further consciously energize a more active partnership with source while also gathering the parts of ourselves that we may have lost or forgotten for a time.

Spica in Virgin Priestess

Spica connects with the ancient wisdom keepers and is depicted in the Tarot as the hierophant (another word with a similar root as hierodule) holding the lantern or light that helps locate those lost or forgotten parts. This is beautifully summed up in Morgan Llewellyn’s book Druids:

As if the scattered sparks form the great fire of creation must obey a cosmological command to rejoin, we are compelled to seek the missing parts of ourselves. We collect friends, we require mates. Each of us separately is a fragment, life is the whole.

January 08, Friday. The Moon moves into Scorpio early this morning transmitting the mysteries of passionate aliveness and transformational change. Plus the Moon is visible approaching the primary stars of the Scales known as Zuben Algenubi (15 Scorpio) a.k.a. the star of purpose and Zuben Alshamali (19 Scorpio) the emerald northern star that ancient Arabs referred to as “the star of full price”. These two primary stars of the Scales (a.k.a Libra) represent the balance point between yin and yang, male and female, Heaven and Earth. Are you experiencing balance in your life? If something is out of balance then it might be helpful to ask your higher self what you can do to create or restore balance?

January 09, Saturday. This year features the Saturn (4 Libra) Pluto (3 Capricorn) Square that will be joined by Uranus and Jupiter in June suggesting the destruction or disintegration of the existing Saturn rules that have governed humanity for the past 2 to 5 thousand years.

If anyone has planets or angles between zero to six degrees of House Holder signs (a.k.a. Cardinal Signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) you have been in or about to be in a powerful Pluto initiation that is now joined by Saturn, and later this year, Jupiter and Uranus. Jupiter arrives in this area of the sky approximately every 12 years and Uranus arrives here approximately every 83 years. Also every 83 years Uranus and Jupiter return to the same area of the sky together.

The last time Jupiter and Uranus entered Aries close together was in 1927 or 83 years ago. In his book Cosmos and Psyche, Richard Tarnas tracks extensively the historical events around Uranus, Jupiter conjunctions known for their radical revolutionary effect. For example, Jupiter and Uranus were conjunct during the American Revolution and then again for the French Revolution. Plus, this year they are arriving at a cardinal point together and it has the added feature of being square Pluto and opposite Saturn.

This year Uranus enters Aries on May 28 and hangs out at this cardinal point for all of June and July moving back into Pisces on August 14. Then Uranus returns to zero Aries on March 12, 2011. Jupiter crosses this zero Aries on June 7, September 10 and again on January 22 next year. For greater understanding of this important planetary alignment along with the other aspects of this see the DVD or MP3 on Saturn Pluto and the one on the overview of 2010 that Daniel Giamario and I did last month expounding in detail on this configuration. January 10, Sunday. The Moon moves into Sagittarius transmitting the mysteries of growth and expansion of the self to its widest possible expression in the on-going quest for truth and meaning. The following quote from Charles Colton (1780–1832) and English writer best known for his book Many Things in Few Words, addressed to those who think (published in 1820) is a great reminder about how truth may be covered, hidden, and distorted but in time, even if it is a long time from a middle world perspective, the truth will be uncovered, discovered and known.

The greatest friend of truth is time, her greatest enemy is prejudice, and her constant companion humility. ~ Charels Colton

Moon occulting Antares January 11 2010January 11, Monday. The Sun conjuncts Venus and the North Node at 21 Capricorn. This means the divine feminine (Venus) in her ongoing underworld journey is receiving a direct download from her future self (North Node), the part of herself that can guide her toward her true destiny.

This marks the second to the last of the Moon occulations over Antares in this long series that began in 2008. The occultation is visible over the northeastern half of New England, some of New York and Ontario, and most of Quebec and the Maritime Provinces. The best locations are Vermont, Montreal, Ottawa but the occultation begins just a few minutes before sunrise so even in this locations may be challenge to see.

This is the most central approach of the Moon to a first magnitude star this year and worth checking out if you are up before the Sun this morning even if you can’t see the exact occultation. Remember Antares is one of the magical Behenian stars. There are a number of stars that were considered to be the most potent stars to use ceremonially for creating talismans, potions, and intentions first by the ancient Arabs and then by medieval alchemists. http://www.celestialtimings.com/articles/behenian.html http://www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/highlights/78606072.html

Bernadette Brady tells us a Moon occultation over a star is different than an eclipse because…there is no gradual fade in and out...rather the star appears to catch the Moon...because the stars appear to move faster than Moon across the sky...so the Moon does not blot out the star but rather the star catches the Moon and penetrates her, impregnating her with the seeds of its mythology. The Moon becomes filled with its message and, according to Plato in the Timaeus, this message is then transferred to the earth through its lunar phases... it would seem that these are moments when a doorway is opened to us, a doorway that leads to the deeper, more chaotic but highly creative part of our own soul. http://www.zyntara.com/VisualAstrologyNewsletters/van_april2005/april2005c.htm http://www.lunar-occultations.com/iota/iotandx.htm

January 12, Tuesday. The Moon moves into Capricorn crossing the Galactic Gateway tonight near Galactic Center where new, creatively-inspired energies pour into this dimensional realm. Capricorn is the archetypal energy most familiar with how Spirit manifests into form, and how to efficiently, effectively and responsibly administrate these new forms of manifestation for the benefit of the Earth now and for future generations.
January 13, Wednesday. The Moon is conjunct Pluto (3 Capricorn 45) before passing 4.6 degrees SSE of retrograde Mercury (6 Capricorn) in the early morning sky nicely visible for those at mid-northern latitudes. The Moon is a transmitter and activator passing by all the planets and through all the signs once each month (moon-th). The Moon’s passes by Pluto in Capricorn and is activating the deepening transformation of the 26,000 year old lineage of the Capricorn mysteries particularly including how most of the rules of our current culture cannot be sustained into the new cycle.

Saturn (4 Libra 39) is stationing retrograde today and will remain retrograde until May 30, 2010 when Saturn stations direct at 27 Virgo 50. This means if you have planets or angles from 24 degrees of the In Service to Spirit Signs (Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius) to 10 degrees of the Householder Signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn) you are currently undergoing a Saturn Initiation. The intent of a Saturn cycle is to examine the structures of your life depending on where Saturn is touching you - including your identity, your work, your relationships, your life style, your belief systems, your health and well being etcetera for the purpose of restructuring where needed to support whatever growth has occurred. This is much like the snake shedding its skin. The old skin, or structure, served its purpose and it is time to move into a new skin. Collectively Saturn in Libra is examining the old structures of relationship. This is a helpful more in-depth article discussing some of the old structures (especially around real and true relationship) that are in desperate need of restructuring. See more in-depth article

Annular EclipseJanuary 14, Thursday. For those in the Pacific Time Zone today marks the New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse (25 Capricorn) at 11:11 pm with the North Node at 21 Capricorn taking us through the first eclipse portal this year. This is a very long Annular Solar Eclipse (there won’t be one this long for over 200 years) visible from central and east Africa, the southern tip of India and Sri Lanka, Burma and China. December 31 we had a partial Lunar Eclipse opening the eclipse window. Today’s eclipse completes the first eclipse season of 2010.)…

The eclipse cycle takes about 19 years to return to itself. On January 15, 1991 there was an Annular Solar Eclipse at 25 Capricorn and the North Node was 28 Capricorn. That means if you are turning 19, 38, 57, 76, or 95 in 2010 you are in a Nodal Return this year and if you are turning 19 yesterday, today, or tomorrow you were born in the window of a Solar Eclipse. You can also locate your North Node and a ball park time for you next Nodal Return cycle using this table.

This Capricorn New Moon eclipse is accelerating the changes associated with the structures of this reality connected to the Wise Ones, to the Elders, to the ones who know how to act in accordance with the laws of this world and living in balance with the Earth. These mysteries have been lost or ignored and are now being brought back into conscious awareness through Pluto’s transit through Capricorn up through most of 2024. This year the June 26 Lunar Eclipse at 4 Capricorn 46 is the closest eclipse to Pluto also at 4 Capricorn in this current eclipse cycle.

It is imperative we begin to restore and then maintain balance and harmony with the Earth and each other as these eclipse energies accelerate what is unfolding even if no one else around us is joining the effort. It is helpful to ask for assistance from the wisdom of our Higher Selves (ancient and future) that already knows how to keep bring ourselves in balance with the Earth. Eclipse article

Many say I am just one to try. I say I am one less to quit. – Diego Marchi

January 15, Friday. The Moon conjuncts Venus (26 Capricorn) just a couple of hours after the exact eclipse. This brings the divine feminine in her underworld journey into this eclipse energy and a further acceleration of the upcoming rebirth of the fierce warrior committed to her cause of protecting the Earth and upholding justice for all.

Plus Mercury stations direct (5 Capricorn) very near Pluto (4 Capricorn) suggesting an acceleration of the transformative power our words carry and the importance of being conscious about what we say and invoke.

Recently I found a writing I did 10 years ago after reading the book The Red Tent by Anita Red Tent Book Cover Diamant. There is a part of the story describing how our words and the intention behind what we say with passionate conviction can affect the world around us. This part of the story centers around Jacob’s daughter Dinah when she passionately cursed her father and brothers for their part in her husband’s murder. The emotion expressed in her words carried such great power the curse touched all of their lives almost immediately.

It was the passion and intensity of what she said that gave her words such great power to create. We equally have the power to create blessings for ourselves and others. Passionately expressing heartfelt blessings has the power to undo all the curses that might be lingering in our morphogenetic fields.

If you do not already have a daily blessing practice this template is designed to inspire you in creating a way that works for you to energize daily blessings for yourself and others.

January 16, Saturday. The Moon moved into Aquarius after the Capricorn Solar Eclipse yesterday transmitting the mysteries of the cosmic revolutionary. It is interesting to note how Aquarius follows Capricorn suggesting an evolutionary imperative is needed to shift the old forms. (See Jan 19)

January 17, Sunday. The Moon conjuncts Chiron (24 Aquarius) and Neptune (25 Aquarius) in a close circle of about 6 degrees in diameter facilitating innovative, leading edge visionary ideas that include the grand cosmic perspective made possible through the process of shamanic healing that clears any wounds or shadow issues that might get in the way. Of these three only the New Crescent Moon is visible tonight without a telescope but locating the Moon is a great way to tune into this area of the sky and any transmissions coming in from there tonight.

Pisces symbolJupiter Moves into Pisces at 6:11 pm PST and the Moon enters Pisces at 10:17 pm PST catching up to Jupiter by 10:22 pm PST further energizing Jupiter’s entrance into the Pisces domain. This is the first time Jupiter has entered Pisces since February 5, 1998. What is different about this time is in 1998 the Moon was in Gemini, not Pisces. Jupiter’s time in Pisces expands the mysteries of radical compassion and how to help and heal first ourselves and then each other.

January 18, Monday. Venus moves into Aquarius today until February 11. Tomorrow the Sun enters Aquarius until Feb 18. On Feb 22 Venus emerges from her travels with the Sun having successfully completed her underworld initiation. For the divine feminine this is heralding a revolution in consciousness assisting in bringing about radical change and the fulfillment of the Aquarian Dispensation.

This dispensation says everyone should have the right to take responsibility for their own spiritual and evolutionary path. Venus has been integrating the Amazon Warrior expression of the divine feminine since her helical rise last April 4, 2009. This means Venus is getting ready to protect the emerging cosmic order that says everyone has the right to determine their own spiritual path as long as they do no harm. Venus will rise around 13 Pisces suggesting she is fiercely ready to defend and protect all who seek to further compassionate cosmic awareness and divine justice for all.

January 19, Tuesday. The Sun moves into Aquarius where it remains until Feb 18 illuminating the mysteries of radical revolutionary change. This is evident in the seasonal energy of Aquarius representing the time when the seeds that were planted at the Winter Solstice are beginning to stir and break free of their outer casings. The days are growing longer now as does our ability to be objectively aware of this reality. The Aquarius mysteries have the ability to move into new territory, experiment with new ideas and innovative ways, from a more cosmic perspective. This energy can also be linked with divination that comes from a detached connection to the Celestial Realms.

The Moon conjuncts Uranus (24 Pisces) radically energizing selfless service through mystical connection with the divine. When out of balance Pisces has difficulty knowing its own feelings and experience because it merges with and then becomes empathically attuned to those around them sacrificing who they are in service to others. Healthy Pisces must first direct their compassionate energy towards themselves which is a radical departure from the current cultural program that emphasizes personal sacrifice for others. When in balance these mystical dreamers serve the world through the power of their love and acceptance.

January 20, Wednesday. The Moon moves into Aries energizing the mysteries of inspired action for the purpose of supporting the cosmic order of life. The creative process is three fold and often spoken of as thought, word and deed. Deeds are the actions we take to fulfill our intentions. Albert Einstein spoke of three rules designed to assist a person to take authentic action. They are:

1. Out of clutter, find simplicity
2. From discord, find Harmony.
3. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

amazon warrior When discord and difficulty are present it can be challenging to find the courage and the commitment to take the action necessary to shift the energy. Releasing judgment about how things should or should not be, and trusting the opportunity each moment brings connects with the Aries mysteries of spontaneity and courage. Then it is easier to embrace what IS and move with it in ways that restore and sustain the cosmic order within your own life and all life around you.

January 21, Thursday. Venus (4 Aquarius) trines retrograde Saturn (4 Libra) just three days before the Sun and Neptune trine. In many systems of astrology trines are seen as easy aspects. In Shamanic Astrology these aspects are not always easy. For example, Libra is interested in the ideals of conscious equal partnership and relationship with others. Aquarius is interested in ideals that promote revolutionary and evolutionary change. Aquarius is an archetype that isn’t necessarily interested in engaging in personal relationships. So this trine energy could be challenging if the divine feminine is more interested in her independent quest for visionary ideals. If these revolutionary ideals are also focused toward furthering the evolutionary experience of conscious equal partnership here at the Turning of the Ages this could be a great time for deepening our cosmic connections through the calm, relaxed energy of the trine. (See January 24)

January 22, Friday. The Moon moves into Taurus energizing the mysteries of receiving the fullest experience of the Garden of Earthly Delight. 10 years ago in May 2000 all seven solar bodies, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn joined in council in a rare planetary line-up. As we approach the 10 year anniversary of this event during the Beltane season this year in early May it is worthwhile to revisit what was seeded 10 years ago.(See January 23)

January 23, Saturday. The Taurus First Quarter Moon (3 Taurus 20) is a time for taking action to fulfill the intentions set into motion at the Taurus New Moon 10 years ago (May 4, 2000) during the 7 planet alignment in Taurus.

The May 2000 Celestial Timings told about a well known Greek myth describing a council gathering of the gods and goddesses on Mount Olympus to decide the fate of humanity. It is written that these great beings (planets) traveled to Mount Olympus beyond the view of humanity along the celestial highway (the Milky Way). This myth is a telling of a Celestial Event similar to what occurred in May 2000 when the planets (or gods or goddesses) The Celestial Highway http://tommycharles.deviantart.com/?offset=10 gathered out of sight, in the glow of the Sun (meaning they were invisible to those of us on Earth) similar to the gathering on Mount Olympus. Indeed, this gathering also took place near the Celestial Highway (Milky Way).

The dilemma then (similar to the situation now) was that most humans no longer honored the sacredness of life, or practiced the ceremonies that helped them to live in balance with the Earth. It was a time when humanity was destroying the Earth and engaging in terrible and destructive wars. In that mythic meeting the gods and goddesses decided to cleanse The gods gathered on Mt Olympusthe Earth by a massive flood. We are again faced with unnecessary global destruction and senseless wars perpetrated by many governments and the corporate interests of the rich with very little regard for the common person and the health and climate of the Earth.

The ancient myth tells us that one by one the gods left Earth as the destruction and violence continued. The last goddess to leave was Astrea (Astraea). According to Bullfinch’s Mythology, the poets of ancient times tell us that there would come a day when the divine feminine (like Astrea) consciousness of innocence, purity, and justice would return to Earth bringing a Golden Age. This fits with many other prophecies indicating that it is through the return of the re-awakening divine feminine mysteries that we enter the Golden Age of Earth

The time is now for the re-awakening of the Radiant and Shining Ones igniting their golden auras of light carrying the activated light codes and frequencies necessary to establish the New Heaven and the New Earth. Other cultures and references have referred to this as Shambalah, New Tula, Utopia, Shangri-La, Heaven on Earth or Celestial Earth. As the Hopi Elders remind us, “We are the ones we have been waiting for!” We are the Radiant and Shining Ones remembering and activating the golden light within us that will assist in anchoring the golden age of Heaven on Earth. The time is now for all the tribes of humanity to gather together and co-exist in peace and harmony.

All we need is a critical mass of 1 percent of the world population living from this golden ageconscious awareness to create a massive phase transition where once again we live in the Garden of Earthly Delight with illumination, peace, and plenty for all! (See January’s opening quote)

January 24, Sunday. The Sun (4 Aquarius) trines retrograde Saturn (4 Libra). Twice each year Saturn trines the Sun either just after it stationed retrograde or just before it stations direct. This means that Saturn is barely moving in the Sky and is sitting very still. One of the reasons trine energies are experienced as “easy” aspects is because there is no real world movement happening. It is a meditative time where the energies are standing still. That means this is a powerful time to do some inner exploration around the revolutionary ideals of genuine practical and workable conscious equal partnership (Saturn in Libra).

James Redfield’s book The Celestine Prophecy has revolutionary ideas about how to http://api.ning.com/files/oMh8fGqnRqpIzfA0946OneNYOa6FptUBLllzz-vdGgSft6-WXmg6872fPZslQsl0OSHUYb-vXrdgFv3MfLzlULIiwWzGaa*C/7115475.3.jpg engage relationship in a way that is more supportive to us individually and collectively. He says that the people who cross our path and especially the ones we engage in relationship have answers to our questions. Sometimes they have answers for us even if we don’t know what the questions are. He also says:

How we approach other people determines how quickly we evolve, how quickly our life questions are answered. By lifting up another person sending them energy we help them to get clear so they can search for the truth, for the messages they have for us. Energizing another person is the best thing we can do for ourselves.

Whenever people cross our paths, there is always a message for us. Chance encounters do not exist. But how we respond to these encounters determines whether we are able to receive the message if we have a conversation with someone who crosses our path and we do not see a message pertaining to our current questions, it does not mean there was no message. It only means we missed it for some reason.

When someone crosses our path more than once and we still don’t get the message it is time to stop and find out the message we have for that person and that the person has for us. Once we grasp this reality our interaction will slow down and become more purposeful and deliberate.

Moon occulting the Pleiades

January 25, Monday. The waxing Moon is occulting or covering the Pleiades in the first of seven occultations this year. This occultation is visible in Japan, East China and India. Even if the occultation is not visible where you are you can still tune into the Moon and the Pleiades and receive the transmission coming in from this intergalactic stargate. This series of Moon Occultations over the Pleiades are accelerating the stargate energy covering and uncovering the deep hidden mysteries that have inspired humanity for eons of time.
Certain areas of the sky such as the Pleiades were known to represent dimensional portals or stargates and were considered to be the starry homes from where ancient indigenous tribes originated.

The Mayans are a great example of a ancient culture that was strongly connected to the Pleiades. They built the pyramid Kukulcan to track the 26,000 year occurrence of the Sun conjunction with the Pleiades and its opposite point where the Pleiades appear at the zenith directly overhead six months later. This Timing occurs around May and November depending on the latitude and is the cross-check signaling the restart point on the 26,000 year processional cycle. This series of Moon occultations over the Pleiades seen from this context hints at the greater importance of this Timing. (See May 2009 Celestial Timings)

The Pleiades have also been associated with the Dove-Goddesses or Hathors who according to William Henry in his book, The Peacemaker and The New Key of Life, “…guarded the ‘gate’ to the central point of heaven, Tula.” He goes on to say, “Understanding the Pleiades as the star gate to Tula explains why in many religious traditions the soul transforms into a dove at death...”

Tula represents Heaven on Earth, Shambala, and/or the New Jerusalem. Doves carry the medicine of Love and are the messengers of spirit providing communication between worlds, and bringing messages of peace, love, understanding and gentleness. Visually attuning to this constellation with the Moon nearby helps to facilitate our direct experience of what is taking place here.

January 26, Tuesday. The waxing nearly Full Moon reaches Aldebaran passing 8.9 degrees N of this bright star marking the eye of the Bull inside the Sacred Hoop. This is definitely worth checking out if you have clear skies tonight.

Nunki in the Archer

Mercury is making its third pass by Nunki (a.k.a. Pelagus) the second brightest fixed star in the constellation of the Archer marking the Vane of the Archer’s Arrow. In Page Bryant’s book Starwalking Shamanic Practices for Traveling into The Night Sky Nunki is described as a star that has been energizing the Earth for over five thousand years and has been empowering ceremonial magicians and shamans. When we consider that Nunki is the vane of the arrow and when the arrow is pulled all the way back on the bow - it gives the arrow maximum power to move forward to its intended target. In this case the target the arrow is pointed toward is Galactic Center.

Remember Nunki is significant because it marks the release point of the archer’s arrow pointed directly at Galactic Center. This represents a nexus or connection point where we can send all the energy that is ready to be purified and transformed into the Galactic Cauldron. Said another way messenger Mercury has been gathering the energies ready for alchemical transformation and sending them into the Galactic Cauldron since last month. l

In 2008 Nunki was occulted eleven times by the Moon and in September 2008 Jupiter stationed direct near this star. 2008 featured the beginning collapse of the illusory structures of our global economic systems. In the September 2008 Celestial Timings Jupiter stationed with Nunki. This event with the Moon occulting Nunki a couple of days later was described as creating a portal into the ‘unified field’ or the origins of creative energy emanating from Galactic Center and then birthed into our current reality.

This suggests a transfer of the divine creation codes coming from the Galactic Core to our current conscious experience here on Earth was being magnified many times more than usual. We are again experiencing an acceleration of these energies designed to complete with the old paradigm and to vibrationally shift us into living more and more of the New Earth energies. As the old system collapses it doesn’t necessarily feel like the new energies are on-line and there can be a between the worlds feeling. The experience then is between the old and the new, what is dying and what is birthing. This in-between place is potent and also confusing and requires trust to navigate the changes.

Mercury and Nunki 6:15 am Jan 26This month has also featured Nunki with the Sun passing by here the day after New Year’s, Venus passing by here a couple days later (Jan 4) the Moon coming by here on January 13 and Mercury passing by on January 7 and again today. It may be ever so slightly possible to visually connect with Mercury near Nunki in the early morning sky before Sunrise, -as this is occurring with the best visual morning star appearance of Mercury this year.

January 27, Wednesday. Mercury (13 Capricorn) is at its greatest elongation in the Morning sky about 28 degrees from the Sun still very near the fixed star Nunki. (see January 26)

The Moon moves into Cancer crossing the Galactic Plane illuminating the Galactic Edge and transmitting light energy from beyond our galaxy. This is the second time this month that the Moon is beaming the inter-galactic light codes coming in from beyond our galaxy.

January 28, Thursday. The waxing nearly Full Moon is passing about 7 degrees SSW of Pollux in the constellation of the Twins and exiting the Sacred Hoop. Fixed Stars and Constellations in Astrology written by Vivian E. Robson in 1923 suggests the Moon transiting by Pollux is a time to travel and take medicine. [p.71.]

January 29, Friday. Retrograde Mars is opposite the Sun marking the beginning of a new 26 month Mars cycle integrating the Leo archetype into the sacred masculine expression. Tonight is the fullest rise of the Leo Full Moon (10 Leo) exact late tonight or early tomorrow depending on your time zone. The Leo Full Moon conjunct Mars inspires remembrance of golden ages past, when the Shining Ones walked in balance and harmony with the Earth. The Shining Ones are remembered in many myths and cultures by many different names and stories. They were light beings, perhaps aliens from another star system generating their own source of light energy and secret wisdom that seeded many civilizations across the Earth. Some say the Shining Ones came from the Stars, such as the Pleiades, Sirius, Arcturus and Ursa Major sharing their knowledge and technology with Earth people helping to build the Standing Stone Circles, the Pyramids and other great cosmologically aligned structures.

shining onesIn Scotland the Shining Ones are remembered by the saying, “When the Moon walks the land at the calling of the cuckoo the Shining Ones will return.” Some believe we are the Shining Ones, we are the ones we have been waiting for, we are the ones who are returning at this Turning of the Great Galactic Wheel. The Leo Full Moon reminds us we are all expressions of the Divine and when we remember to genuinely love ourselves and the light we carry then our presence is a healing gift to this world.

January 30, Saturday. Late last night or early this morning the Moon caught up to Mars passing about 6 degrees to the SSW of this retrograde planet. Mars has begun its quest in the Leo domain where healthy self-love originates from knowing your divinity and that we all deserve to receive the abundant gifts (including love, beauty, joy, inspiration, creativity, fun, etc…) the universe has to offer, not because of what we do to earn those gifts, but simply because we exist. We do deserve to live the fulfillment of our true heart’s desire and our soul’s purpose. In the realm of Leo this means we simply show up with healthy self-love, self-confidence, self-acceptance, and self-approval. These qualities activate our golden auras of light and send a healthy loving vibration into the world. The original essence of Leo was to carry this vibration of love and light for the benefit of all, not just themselves or the privileged few.Moon with Mars Jan 02 note how they are closer to Lion than later in the Month due to Mars retrograde

Moon with Mars Jan 30 see how Mars has moved back from Lion

This is NOT about coming from a place of selfish-entitlement rooted in the fear there is not enough for everyone driving some to feel entitled to take as much as they can without regarding the needs of others. And it also does NOT have anything to do with how good or bad or deserving a person is based on any human definition we have had over the last 5,000 years. The shadow of Leo elite who are running the world is based in the mistaken belief that they are the special ones entitled to the resources and wealth of world and all others are here to serve them rather than the other way around. Healthy Leo is here to generously radiate love and light into the world benefiting all life. Mars is questing to know ever more fully that we do deserve to live and experience our divinity as the awakening Shining Ones.

January 31, Sunday. The Moon moves into Virgo and retrograde Saturn (4 Libra 22) makes another exact square to Pluto (4 Capricorn 22). These degree points are especially important for anyone with natal planets or angles between 2 – 6 degrees of Householder signs (a.k.a. Cardinal Signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) as you are currently in a powerful Pluto Saturn initiation designed to break down any concepts of who you believe yourself to be that are not who you truly are. Strategically this is the time to surrender and release what is dying in your life be it a lifestyle, a relationship, a belief system, etcetera.

What follows is a helpful remind for those encountering the energies of Pluto and Saturn at this time… The more you try to hang onto to the old form the more difficult and beyond your control the circumstances will become eventually forcing your surrender. You cannot get out of this initiation process by working harder, doing more, or being better at what you are doing including how you are showing up in the world to help others or making deals with God, Goddess, Great Spirit or Great Mystery.

manipulation and control will not work now! All forms of manipulation and control that worked in the past will not work now and will escalate the challenges of the current situation. The point of this type of initiation is to allow it to empower you to be who you really are. As long as you are holding onto who you use to be or what you use to believe or any form that is now going through the dying process then this cycle becomes the classic experience of living in hell. It takes great courage to surrender and trust the process but when you do - the gifts that arrive to support you are beyond your current ability to imagine.
