A Personal Sharing about the July Timings (this is a long intro...scroll on down for the daily timings)
Magic Happens again and again and again. In early June when I was starting to write the July Celestial Timings I was looking for a something on my book shelf and this tiny little book tucked between two bigger books found its way into my hands. This little book came to me in 2008 as a gift from Nicole Christine, a beloved friend, sacred sister and mentor since 1995. She died in 2008.
The pages are falling out of this book titled Galactic Shamanism by Mary Saint-Marie. I opened it with caution to the above passage. It was perfect. It was magic. As I read more of the book I remembered that many of these were words Nicole had shared with my priestess circle back in 1995. I saw Nicole’s handwritten notes in the margins and was swept back through time remembering the gift of the Awakening the Priestess Within Process founded by Nicole in the early 90’s. Going through this process totally changed me. I knew it was something I had been waiting for my whole life the instant I heard the word Priestess as if some latent code or ancient knowing suddenly woke up.
Reading this little book took me into my own remembering. Remembering the wonder and awe I felt when I was in sacred safe space with powerful and conscious women all desiring to support each other in claiming authentic expressions of the divine feminine. Remembering all the Living Ceremonies we co-created and continue to create to this day. I turned to other pages and the words seemed to leap off the page. I felt I was being guided to share them in the July Celestial Timings. I was amused to see that this book was co-incidentally published in 1995 the same year I began my Priestess journey. Interestingly, I have had this book now for nearly two years (Nicole died in October of 2008 and I was blessed to be a part of her consicous death process having had practice with my Mom in 1998 and others after that. Her story is here) and yet this is the first time I have felt moved to share any writings from it. Apparently, as is so often stated in the book…the time is NOW.
I feel Nicole guided this book into my hands and has guided me to find the perfect passages to share throughout the July Timings. The rhythm of the words and images capture the essence of the archetypal energies and the planetary alignments. My hope is that what I have shared here from Mary Saint-Marie is as inspiring and activating for you as it has been to me. You can find more info here
The process of writing the July Timings continued to inspire my own remembering.
I am remembering…remembering…remembering the images of the Sky Dancer (another coincidence as it was the priestess name given to me in the 1995 Tara Dances)… remembering the images of She Who Remembers…and how I reclaimed this aspect when I reclaimed my Magdalene Priestess self in April of 1997 when I ceremonially embraced the part of me that is She Who Remembers the Ancient Future as it relates to the As Above, So Below in the Here and Now. I am remembering letting all this go in 2001 as I traveled another path and released the titles that I had claimed. I knew myself as a Priestess but in a quiet more personal way.
And…there was more remembering that I experienced. Remembering the images of the Star Stone Ones and the Magdalene Emergence Ceremony (June 1999) I helped to facilitate with my well loved and now departed sister Gina Dawn who died in November of 2009. The ceremony was held in the Standing Stone Circle at Faywood Hotsprings where for years Shamanic Astrology Night Sky classes were taught with the intent to reconnect those who were drawn to these gatherings with the cosmology and star lore of present and ancient times. The bones of the ancestors rest there (see my mother’s story), and coincidently the skin of a four foot long snake was ceremonially buried there as we opened the sacred space of that Magdalene Emergence Ceremony. And finally there each night the stars pass over the stones.
The chant that spontaneously came to us in that 1999 Living Ceremony captured it all…Star and Stone, Snake and Bone - Star and Stone, Snake and Bone - Star and Stone, Snake and Bone…activating our ancient knowing. As we engaged our Living Ceremony the power gathered round building into a magnificent collision of two storms, one from the East and one from the West that met over the stone circle. It was high magic in response to our ancient call. We were calling in the magic of As Above So Below, of As Within, So Without, of the Ancient Future and of Alchemy through our heartfelt desire to be in service to and at one with Great Mystery.
This remembering of Living Ceremony past and present is a reminder and as Mary Saint-Marie says …ceremony beckons…as in the times of OLD…Life as ceremony…beckons… My priestess sisters and I heard that call all those years ago, as have many others… and NOW each time we engage in ceremony, in prayer, in meditation, in gratitude and appreciation we all continue to answer the call.
Therefore, I dedicate the July Celestial Timings to our continued collective awakening and the piece we each bring to fulfill our part of the divine unfolding. And I intend that what is written here assists everyone who reads it in remembering all that is theirs to remember, embracing what is theirs to embrace, in landing their vision, and in living their divine design in ways that co-creatively construct a New Earth fulfilled in Love and Joy, Brilliant Bliss, and Gratitude for all that is! And so it IS!

July 01, Thursday. July begins with the Sun (10 Cancer), South Node (12 Cancer) and Mercury (14 Cancer) all in close zodiacal alignment with the fixed star Sirius, the brightest fixed star in our night sky. Sirius and Mercury are not visible due to their close proximity to the Sun. However, the energy of Sirius is being illuminated by the Sun and messenger Mercury now in its pyschopomp (or initiatory guide) phase is in direct communication with this star. The South Node of the Moon passes by this area of the sky every 19 years and acts as a bridge to the ancient knowing that supports our collective progress in fulfilling our divine destiny.
The Sun reaches 14 Cancer (the same degree as Sirius) on July 5 this year and Sirius reaches 10 degrees beyond the Sun on July 17 the number of degrees usually needed for a star to become visible before Sunrise. This is referred to as the heliacal rise. However, due to the declination of Sirius with the Sun it is not truly visible for most places on Earth until August. For example on the west coast of the USA Sirius is not visible before the Sun until August 7. (See July 3, 4 and 5)
In one of the 37 Maxims of Ptahotep the message of Sirius is to

July 02, Friday. The Sun conjuncts the South Node exact tomorrow at 12 Cancer. Plus the asteroid Juno will be at 14 Cancer zodiacally conjunct Sirius and Mercury will be at 18 Cancer. The spotlight is on Sirius a well known star often referred to as the Dog Star, because it is the brightest star in the constellation Canis Major, the Big Dog, and has been linked with the term known as the “dog days” of summer. The following story from India is linked with the importance of the Dog Star and following ones heart.
In India, Sirius is known as Svana, the faithful dog of Prince Yudhistira. The story is that the prince, along with his dog, Svana and his four brothers set out on a long and arduous journey to find the kingdom of heaven. One by one the brothers abandoned the search for heaven. It came to be that Yudhistira and Svana continued the search and at long last arrived at the gates of heaven.
The gatekeeper, Lord Indra, welcomed the prince but denied Svana entrance. Yudhistira was aghast and told Lord Indra that he could not forsake his good and faithful servant and friend. His brothers, Yudhistira told the Lord, had abandoned the journey to heaven. But the faithful dog Svana, who had given his heart freely, chose to follow none but Yudhistira. The prince told the Lord that without his dog, he would forsake even heaven. This is what Lord Indra had wanted to hear, and then he welcomed both the prince and the dog through the gates of heaven. Many ancient cultures have viewed Sirius as a dog or wolf. For example, the ancient Chinese saw this star as a heavenly wolf. In Sumeria, Babylonia and Chaldea (present day Iraq) the star was known as the "Dog Star that Leads," or it was called the "Star of the Dog." In Assyria, the "Dog of the Sun." In still older Akkadia, it was the "Dog Star of the Sun." July 03, Saturday. Moon moves into Aries at 6:44 am and passes 6 degrees NNW of Uranus (0 Aries 35) exact at 7:55 am PDT and 6.5 degrees NNW of Jupiter (2 Aries 47) at 12:17 pm. Once each month the Moon passes by each of the planets. When passing Uranus the Moon is further activating the “novel” events that are intended to bring revolutionary change to our collective experience. Uranus just entered Aries for the first time at the end of May and will travel through the Aries domain for the next seven years after a brief return to Pisces during its retrograde phase later this year. Uranus, Moon and Jupiter in Aries form a dynamic trio inspiring spontaneous decisive and radical action intended to promote growth and evolution. Resistance to change causes the unpredictable events of Uranus, with the magnifying power of Jupiter, to intensify. Whatever it takes to create evolutionary change is what is happening now. Embracing change allows for magic to happen in ways that we probably can’t even imagine.
In some traditions today begins what is known as the “Dog Days” of summer when the Sun 
and Sirius are near their exact conjunction. The Sun acts as a doorway illuminating the multi-dimensional Sirian star gate with this energy beaming more directly to the planet over the next few weeks.
"Dog Days" is the name for the sultriest period of summer, from about July 3 to Aug. 11. Named in early times by observers in countries bordering the Mediterranean, the period was reckoned as extending from 20 days before to 20 days after the conjunction of Sirius (a.k.a the dog star) and the Sun….The time of conjunction varies with difference in latitude, and because of the precession of the equinoxes it changes gradually over long periods in all latitudes. — (See July 4)
The Egyptians noted 35 days before and after the Sun conjunction with Sirius as the time when Sirius was NOT visible and so to them the visible pathway for the dead to follow to the afterlife was not open at that time. This was the time when burials were suspended until Sirius was once again in the sky and the pathway to this starry land was considered to be open because it could again be seen.
July 04, Sunday. Happy Birthday 234th Day for the USA and Happy 28th birthday to my
Each day oldest son Ryan pictured here with me when he was a baby (I know I look young too and was in fact 26 when this picture was taken) . This historic day anchored a conscious intention of Freedom and Independence for all people and was inspired by the anagram for America: “I Am Race.” One of the original divine intentions for the land of the Americas is about supporting the freedom and independence of the “I Am” quality within every individual.
Each year around July 4 the Sun zodiacally aligns with the fixed star Sirius “the Great Star of Initiation” as described by M. Temple Richmond’s book Sirius. Richmond suggests entering “humbly and reverentially into meditative contemplation of Sirius, the custodian of occult mystery, for in contemplating this great star-being, we encounter a sacred source of transcendence.” Although Sirius is invisible now due to its proximity to the Sun, the Sun is the source of light and life for our planet and it also transmits to Earth the light codes from the 
various stars it is passing.
The Sun with Sirius was a part of the guiding force that founded the United States of America and the ideals of a nation intended to support living freedom for all. The shadow is coming to light now as the United States government has fallen shamefully short of this foundational vision. However, their are many U.S. Citizens energizing this vision through their commitment to living truth, justice and the blessings of freedom for everyone. As the Sun and Sirius move toward their exact alignment tomorrow, this is a time for remembering and renewing our commitment to living freedom in ways that celebrate and support all existence with harm to None. The Last Quarter Moon (12 Aries 31) is at 7:35 am PDT. Following up on last month’s description of the Moon phases through the year the Aries New Moon was on April 14 at 24 Aries 27. Today is the Aries Last Quarter Moon and the Aries Full Moon is on September 23 at 00 Aries 15 just a few hours after the exact Equinox. There will be a second Aries Full Moon on October 22 at 29 Aries 33. This qualifies as a rare “Blue Moon” event. (See Understanding a Blue Moon) The Aries First quarter Moon won’t take place until January 12 at 21 Aries 54. (see June 4, 2010 Archives for details.)
Each Last Quarter Moon is a time for completing something that was set into motion in an earlier cycle. Working with the Aries qualities of trust, spontaneity and courage, along with a willingness to pioneer new territory and further commit to a noble cause or purpose helps to synthesize and anchor the fiery energy of Aries. The element of fire is creative life force energy that generates enthusiasm, courage, spontaneity and inspiration. Fire also purifies and transforms. Fire can be seemingly destructive as in the summer wild fires that destroy forests, homes and other buildings. However, from the ashes new life always emerges, much like the Phoenix rising.
July 05, Monday. The Sun and Sirius are exactly conjunct later today. It is interesting to note that the opposition of Sirius and the Sun is around January 1 about six months earlier. So from the Earth’s perspective it is when Sirius is either opposite or conjunct the Sun that we have the greatest amount of Sirian energy being translated to the Earth through the Sun.
It is said that the fixed stars, and their domain, contain the essences or souls of matter ... a living soul is a higher essence of matter, and when evolved may also be called a star. These stars and essences become gods. Like souls, stars are regarded as having divine attributes. Stars look down from regions of chaotic, violent, purity onto the world of humanity and influence the energies of humankind invisibly, yet most powerfully.
In June of 1993, as our Sun covered Sirius from the Earth's view, the largest flood of the past century occurred. The waters of the Mississippi, our Nile River, overflowed its banks. The flood that year continued until the middle of August. When Sirius re-appeared from behind the sun, the flood waters receded and the immediate life-threatening crisis subsided. It is interesting to note that the June of 2008 flooding on the Mississippi and other rivers in the mid-west was comparable to the 1993 floods.
Uranus (0 Aries 35) stations retrograde at 9:49 am remaining retrograde until December 05 returning to 26 Pisces 40. The retrograde station allows for a shift in perceptual experience especially as it relates to the expanded realms of the Celestial often producing unexpected and sometimes even dramatic events depending on what is needed to facilitate change. Connecting with inner guidance helps us navigate the chaos that often accompanies radical change both internally and externally. External events reflect the internal changes that are intended to facilitate evolution and growth.
Also the Moon moves into Taurus later today, transmitting the mysteries of beauty as a path to fulfillment…

July 06, Tuesday. Mercury passes 5 degrees S of Pollux (23 Cancer 15) and moves out of the Sacred Hoop, though not visible as both are about 10 degrees from the Sun in evening sky. Also, the Sun is still within a degree of Sirius one of the stars marking the edge of the Sacred Hoop. Plus, the Earth is now aphelion meaning it has reached its furthest point from the Sun in its annual cycle. The Earth is closest to the Sun annually in early January.
This is the magical Mercury message that came to me as I was writing for this day as described in this month’s introduction to the Celestial Timings. Indeed this was one the first messages that leaped into my awareness and began the journey that became the July Celestial Timings.
Look not unto the appearances, my children
Look deep into Reality
Come with me deep within
and drink…
Drink of the nectar of Truth
Drink of the picture that I shall reveal

Drink of God’s pure Essence…

July 07, Wednesday. Tonight, between 10:00 pm and midnight, the waning Moon moves past the Pleiades, within just one degree to their SW, at 29 Taurus. The Moon will not rise until about 1:20 am tomorrow morning but it is rising very near the Pleiades and will be visible in this area of the sky before sunrise. The Pleiades have often been associated with Doves…hence the image of the Moon inside the Dove (it is hard to see in this image but a nearly Full Moon is at the cente of the Dover) activates a deeper connection with these mysteries.
The Pleiadian Stargate is significant to our starry origins and the remembering of who we truly are. Attuning to the Moon and Pleiades is a Living Ceremony of remembering…
Let us now collectively, in ever larger numbers…choose to Remember! Let us allow together the free flow of the ONE to pour through us. Let us create openings in a more organic gentle fashion! Let us create a painless birth!

July 08, Thursday. Venus (28 Leo 20) is opposite Neptune (28 Aquarius 20) at 4:55 pm and the Moon moves into Gemini. This means Venus is also very near Regulus the heart of the lion. (see July 10) The following passage from Galactic Shamanism speaks to the awakening Divine Feminine uniting with the Divine Masculine through the energy of the heart.
Man-world may well be offended by some of this message…

The Moon enters Gemini at 12:51 am PDT where we encounter the mysteries intended to take us beyond the rational mind into the realm of the heyokah and contrary. Gemini reminds us that our minds cannot know it all and along with Venus conjunct Regulus opposite Neptune the message is to trust the knowing of our hearts as the guide that will liberate us from duality and the experience of separation from the ONE.
I am sharing to remind us that first we must have inner vision and inner knowing and then we must anchor it in, land it, ground it, by enacting it in some way. We must give the Love that is this vision…a body, a form.
The Moon in Gemini is a time for entering a field beyond the mind, the realm beyond the rules of the middle world where time and space are transcended…
July 09, Friday. Mercury moves into the sign of Leo at 9:29 am and around 6:00 pm PDT the Moon passes 8 degrees N of Aldebaran, the eye of the Bull, further symbolizing the mind and what we see in our external reality as well as what is available to see in our internal reality when we are willing to look in that direction. (See July 8).
Mercury speeds through Leo moving into Virgo on July 27. From now until then the collective lens of perception and cognition is focused on the mysteries of radiant healthy self-love. This is a time for listening to and following your heart knowing while also increasing your personal practice of genuine, healthy self-love. One simple practice is to say with conviction, out loud to yourself, every time you look in the mirror…I really, really, really love you!
Mercury’s message is that we are love, we are beauty, we are the fulfillment of the divine plan. This passage from Galactic Shamanism sums it up.
You Woman…are love…are Grace…are Beauty – SHE…

...And we could add…You Man…are also an expression of heroic Love and Grace and Beauty and it is time for both Man and Woman to remember their divinity through the loving acts of Living Ceremony. (See July 10)
July 10, Saturday. Venus is 1 degree NNE of Regulus (29 Leo 59) in the evening sky, and moves into the sign of Virgo at 4:31 am PDT and opposes Chiron at 0 Virgo 21 at 12:04 pm. Additionally the Moon reaches the Galactic Cross and Solstice point of 0 Cancer at 4:38 am further invigorating the Grand Cross of the Cardinal Signs (or seasons) on the Galactic Cross of our Galaxy as we enter into the Total Solar Eclipse window that is exact tomorrow.
In 2012 the sign of Virgo moves to overlay the heart of the Lion for the first time in nearly 26,000 years. The divine feminine principle expressing through the Virgo archetype is remembering the highest and best expression of the High Priestess who knows how to live in reverence and honor for the Earth and all who live here. She knows how to express through living ceremony. Mary Saint–Marie/Sheokah shares an experience that confirmed for her the importance of living ceremony…

The Gift of Ceremony
…Coming down from the ceiling in golden letters in a vertical line, were the words Gift of Ceremony. I knew immediately what it meant, for I had been creating ceremony all my life. Life for me was more like temple tending. And I was now doing ceremony sessions with many people, helping them see the celebration of each moment in the Land of Now. With the glowing vertical column of those three words, Gift of Ceremony, I knew that the Presence of the ONE was translating to me the message that I carried the Gift of Ceremony and that I was to help reveal to others who had not yet awakened to it, that they, too, carry the Gift of Ceremony. All carry the Gift of Ceremony. Not all remember…
…Living Ceremony of the Soul. That is Love. That is Love expressed. That is Living Ceremony of Spirit. That is Galactic Shamanism. That is the Holy Marriage.
July 11, Sunday. The Total Solar Eclipse (19 Cancer) at 12:34 pm, is visible in South America, South Pacific, Easter Islands, Chile, and Argentina. This eclipse is located in the area of the sky within 5 zodiacal degrees of Sirius. Sirius has been linked with the star of Christ Consciousness, also known as the consciousness of the heart. This is especially interesting when we consider that eclipses accelerate energy and bring the shadow to light.
According to the mathematical calculations of some astronomers the probability of there being a planet like our Earth with only one Sun and one Moon that appear to be the same size from our Earth is so huge it is beyond our ability to comprehend. Our Moon is 400 times smaller than our Sun and yet it just so happens the Sun is 400 times further from Earth than the Moon and this is precisely the factor that allows us to experience a total Solar Eclipse.
Most realize that the Earth requires the Sun to sustain life as we know it but may not be aware that the Earth also requires the Moon. This is because without the Moon we would not have the tides and we would not have the electro-magnetic field of the Moon to protect the Earth from being bombarded by harmful cosmic rays. This is such a unique set-up it causes some to theorize that the Moon may have been placed in its orbit around the Earth purposely. This is further supported by the fact that Moon rocks are older than the oldest known rocks on the Earth and scientists have not been able to determine the origins of the Moon.
When Apollo 13 landed on the Moon some say it was reported that the Moon rang like a bell
for several hours and seemed to be similar to the sound that would be made by hollow sphere constructed from titanium. The ringing sound originated 65 miles below the Moon’s surface. Eclipses are events that happen at rythmic intervals and affect the electromagnetic field of the Earth. It is as if the eclipse cycle is designed to activate a pre-coded plan intended to accelerate the evolution of the Earth. That is why consciously attuning with intent to an eclipse cycle is so powerful. Finding ways to Ceremonially celebrate the alignment of the Sun, Moon and Earth with Sirius and the portal of love that is wide-open to us NOW is one way to engage this event. Mary Saint–Marie/Sheokah shares more about the gift of Ceremony and the importance of our intent to Live Life as Celebration with gratitude and appreciation for the Gift of Life and the Gift of Ceremony as a way to honor and celebrate life.
I do not refer to Ceremony as a formal ritual from a tradition or otherwise. I refer to the new day that is dawning, for a new consciousness is dawning. It is the consciousness of Life as Ceremony, of Life as living Ceremony, of Life as the moment of NOW. Ceremony, in this sense is a conscious celebration. Life as celebration! The forms one can use to celebrate it are infinite. And can spring up in the moment as we allow. And finally, Life as Ceremony remembers that we are living in the Garden. We are already living in the Garden. That is Grace.

July 12, Monday. The Moon moves into the sign of Leo at 5:53 am and is 4 degrees SSW of Mercury (6 Leo 09) at 3:49 pm energizing the mysteries of radical self-love and the importance of not only loving ourselves, but also loving the visions we carry and loving the process of bringing them into form…enacting the qualities of Love that are ours to enact.
We must give the Love that is this vision…a body, a form. This can be done in so many ways. Infinite ways. But it is imperative to act it out. We came to act it out. To land it. It is how we fulfill our dream, in the ONE Dream. We must pass through the doors from the fear realms. From there we become the Galactic Knowing, acting on the Earth as a shaman….The Living Ceremony of Spirit is Galactic Shamanism. As Above, So Below.
July 13, Tuesday. The tiny newly born crescent Moon (also at perigee or closest to the Earth when tides are highest) maybe visible about 3.6 degrees SSW of the Beehive Cluster (7 Leo) in the early evening sky. Mercury (7 Leo) is within .45 degrees NNE of the center of Beehive cluster mid morning (10:00 am). If the crescent Moon is visible tonight it will be below Venus. Tomorrow night it will be above Venus as the exact conjunction occurs tomorrow mid-day. The Moon and Mercury located near the active hub of the Beehive is a great symbol for landing our vision or acting in ways that brings it into the world of form.
We can land the vision in many ways. We can simply create an object to share with others. An object to be filled with the subjective. A grail filled with the Soul’s nectar. It is our gift. It may be an invention, a painting, a song, a meal, a house, a cup of tea. WE can grow a flower or an apple tree. We can knit a sweater or make a drum. We can write a play or write a poem. It all is Ceremony. Ceremony of the Eternal.

July 14, Wednesday. The still tiny crescent Moon passes 4.4 degrees SSW of Regulus as it moves into Virgo. This happens at about 5:00 am with the Moon conjunct Venus at 5 Virgo (5.5 degrees SSW) at 2:14 pm meaning by sunset tonight the Moon will have moved beyond Regulus and Venus. This marks the passage of the Queen of Heaven (Venus) through the 5th gate in her return journey from the underworld as described in the story of Inanna and her descent into the underworld. This is the place in the story where Inanna (Venus) retrieves her Lapis Lazuli Beaded Necklace symbolizing her 5th chakra or throat chakra representing her voice and the ability to speak her truth from the compassionate expression of her heart knowing. Considering the focus on Sirius earlier this month as it journeys with the Sun and Venus with Regulus and the Moon this quote from Ancient Wisdom gives a few more clues about this Venus gate.
There is more real occultism hidden in the names give to the various stars by astronomers down the ages than has yet been realized. Esoterically Sirius uses Regulus as its lens. - A quote from the Ancient Wisdom.
Since Sirius is known as the Dog Star (God Star), then the star Regulus (the Heart of the Lion, the Lawgiver) is the "lens," the regulator, of energy to the Earth, stimulating a response in humanity to express this consciousness of the heart, the quality we call love.
This means that Venus with Regulus is energizing heart-centered wisdom that acts in response to the heart and the knowing that comes from the heart. Regulus is the regulator, the one who “makes regular or puts in good order” what is shifting and changing. Regulus reminds us of our inner Hall of Records. Many of the ancient wisdom teachings suggest
that the Egyptian Sphinx is where the Hall of Records is located on Earth. When we speak and act from our heart knowing we are connecting with the wisdom and knowing in our own internal Hall of Records, the Hall of Records or knowing within each person. Venus is at the 5th chakra in the area of the sky that connects her to the mysteries of self-love and heart directed inner wisdom as she regains her ability to wisely communicate the truth of who she IS.

This type of planetary combination is known for creating instability in the middle world. This rare alignment is intended to assist in expansive, in-depth, radical revolutionary change, especially when Uranus, Pluto and Jupiter get together. It is interesting to note that this is the last Moon conjunction with Saturn in Virgo for at least 27 years. July 19, Monday. The Moon is passing through the main stars of the Scales. Zuben 
Algenubi (15 Scorpio) a.k.a. the star of purpose and Zuben Alshalmali (19 Scorpio) the emerald northern star that ancient Arabs referred to as “the star of full price”. These two primary stars of the Scales (a.k.a Libra) represent the balance point between yin and yang, male and female, Heaven and Earth bringing us again to the theme of balance…weighing the heart of humanity against the feather of Maat (a.k.a divine truth and divine justice). If your heart is lighter than a feather you graduate to the next realm. Then there is the sacred two, the points of the scales that represent balance.
There are many sacred couples with known Divine purpose coming together. They are great gifts upon this planet…great inspirations for us all, for they embody inner and outer Balance in their lives.
July 20, Tuesday. Sun enters the Crab constellation located at 27 degrees Cancer. (See Difference between Signs and Constellations). Retrograding Chiron moves back into the sign of Aquarius at 3:22 am PDT. This marks the final pass of Chiron into Aquarius for almost 50 years. Chiron will station direct at 26 Aquarius 04 on November 6. This means that anyone who has planets or angles between 26 degrees of fixed signs or the Signs of Self-Interest as described by Shamanic Astrology (Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio or Taurus) to one degree of the Mutable Signs or what we describe in Shamanic Astrology as the signs that are in Service to Spirit (Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius) – you are in a Chiron initiation cycle where the wounds of life are intended to be transformed into your personal medicine.
The waxing Moon moves into Sagittarius illuminating the quest, the journey to enlightenment or expanded states of consciousness.

July 22, Thursday. Sun enters Leo and for the next 30 days is illuminating the mysteries of Self-Love through self-confidence, self-approval, and self-acceptance. Also today is Mary Magdalene’s Feast Day honoring, celebrating and remembering who she truly is. It is time for the mysteries she taught along the side of her divine consort, Jesus to reawaken in the collective.
…It has been more than 30 years since the Vatican formally proclaimed that Mary was not the fallen woman of Luke’s gospel, and that Pope Gregory the Great had created that story to further his own purposes in the Dark Ages. But two millennia of the public opinion is hard to erase. The Vatican’s admission of error in the 1960’s hasn’t really been any more effective than a retraction buried on the last page of a newspaper. July 23, Friday. The Moon enters Capricorn passing over the Galactic Cross illuminating the emerging seeds of Galactic Consciousness from the Galactic Center. The archetypal mysteries of Capricorn include the Wise Elders, the Circle of Grandmothers, who remember our origins and the path we set out upon eons ago. They are the record keepers and the ones who know what decisions will benefit the current and future generations.
Together…we are making the Sacred Passage of Beauty-She, of Archetypal Woman. There in the inner realms, SHE beholds Universal Visions. There in the inner realms, SHE remembers HER-Dance upon the Earth. And there it is that the birth begins. And then will begin, by man and woman the HE and SHE of Creation, ceremonial enactments of Spirit. Then will begin Sacred Enactments of Ancient Remembering.

July 25, Sunday. Today is the Aquarius Full Moon (3 Aquarius) at 6:38 pm PDT. This is the Full Moon closest to Lammas also known as Lunar Lammas. When the Moon is full in Aquarius we are being reminded to check in for a big picture overview of what is happening on Earth. It is from this unique and inspired perspective that we can let go of all the ‘shoulds’ that distract us from being present in the moment. Aquarius is an archetypal energy that knows how to go into the multi-dimensional spaces beyond time or into the “non-time” to connect with the Cosmic Vision of the ONE.
The most that each individual can do is to live the inner vision that they see. Each vision lived will complete a piece of the grander picture and cause others to see their part of the ONE vision. And one by one, then two by two, in ever increasing numbers will the vision of the ONE be fulfilled…
…From the consciousness of ONEness, can new forms flow from within. They are our “Odysseys into Non-Time.” There we can Remember, hear, see, know, BE!
July 26, Monday. Mercury (28 Leo) is approaching the fixed star Regulus possibly visible low on the western horizon after sunset most especially for those around 40 degrees north latitude. Mercury is also opposite Neptune (28 Aquarius) and the waning Aquarius Moon catches up to retrograde Neptune tomorrow night. All this Neptunian energy is emphasizing the field of all possibilities and the power of co-creation through imagination, heartfelt prayer and living ceremony - the ceremony of focused intention and being present in the Now.
Neptune is the archetypal realm of our visions and dreams and the messenger Mercury with Regulus is connected to the wisdom of the heart in a powerful combination for receiving and ultimately living our visions and dreams. Galactic Shamanism asks:
Are you ready to receive your vision? Are you ready to be with God (Spirit, Source)? Are you ready to land your vision? Are you ready to live in a world free of intercessors and intermediaries? Free of ones between you and God (Spirit, Source)? Free of objects between you and God (Spirit, Source)? …Now is the time…Now is the time to land the visions…
This is the fifth and final Saturn (0 Libra 25) opposition to Uranus (0 Aries 25) at 10:07 am in the current series that began on November 4, 2008. The four previous oppositions were in Virgo/Pisces.
This opposition is taking place on the Equinox points suggesting something entirely unexpected and new is seeding itself in the greater collective consciousness. The first Saturn Uranus opposition occurred on the day Obama was elected United States President sending a wave of inspired hope around the planet. Something remarkable was seeded in the collective at that time. It has been difficult to see that inspiration and hope disappear in recent months as everything not in alignment with that collective intent has been surfacing.
In the midst of all the political, economic power moves and environmental disasters it is easy to forget the feeling of unity and inspiration that happened in November of 2008. Using the power of intention, prayer, Living Ceremony, and gratitude this is the time to again connect into the field of possibilities that was powerfully activated in the collective awareness to strengthen those slowly germinating seeds of New Earth consciousness.
Encouragingly President Obama spoke about the Gulf Oil spill on June 15 in ways that again inspires hope – that can only be sustained if there is sufficient follow up. He made a collective call to innovative action. (Expansive innovation is the domain of Uranus and Jupiter…inspired action is the domain of Aries). The question is, are we awake enough as a collective to respond?
"For decades, we have talked and talked about the need to end America's century-long addiction to fossil fuels. And for decades, we have failed to act with the sense of urgency that this challenge requires. Time and again, the path forward has been blocked - not only by oil industry lobbyists, but also by a lack of political courage and candor… Now is the moment for this generation to embark on a national mission to unleash American innovation and seize control of our own destiny."
This is a statement of intent and a call to action by Obama. We can all help to energize the truth essence of this intent regardless of the actual motivation behind it. We do this through our own intent, attention and the actions we take. The more we focus our attention and actions on living sustainable lives, the more successful we will be in co-creating healthy sustainability in the Middle World reality.
July 27, Tuesday. Mercury .29 degrees SSW of Regulus at 0 Virgo at 2:00 pm — marking this years closest planetary conjunction of a planet to a 1st magnitude star. The Moon conjuncts Neptune (28 Aquarius) at 8:46 pm. Mercury (29 Leo 42) is opposite Chiron (29 Aquarius 42) at 9:18 am and Mercury goes into Virgo at 2:43 pm. Messenger Mercury with the heart of the lion, opposite Chiron, the Shamanic Healer, and the Moon with Neptune, the celestial visionary, inspires a sense of magic and wonder from the Great Above that is further inspired through Living Ceremony in our Great Below reality.
Visually connecting with Mercury and Regulus will be easier for those around 40 degrees north latitude though still worthy of our intention if we can’t see if from where we are on the planet. The visible and non-visible connection with these celestial alignments through our intention and heartfelt gratitude and appreciation is a ceremony in itself. When we have a sacred intent and then find ways to energize that intent in the world of form we are in realm of Living Ceremony. Let your heart be your guide into this realm.

July 29, Thursday. Mars moves into Libra crossing the Autumnal Equinox point at 4:47 pm PDT traveling through the Libra domain until September 14. This is the phase of the Mars journey where the sacred masculine is now ready to learn more about himself in the process of relationships especially his relationship with the sacred feminine, as Venus and Mars journey together for the next several weeks. Remember, Venus and Mars will have two exact conjunctions coming up in August and October. This represents the teaching that comes from Archetypal woman also expressed as the receptive aspect in both men and women.
And this feminine is the initiator of fusion upon this globe.
We must together create a world that once again allows all the True gifts of the feminine to be expressed.

July 30, Friday. The day begins with Mars opposite Uranus (0 Aries 21) at 6:31 am. The Moon passes 6 degrees NNW of Uranus (0 Aries 21) exact at 2:23 pm. Then the Moon passes 6.6 degrees NNW of Jupiter (3 Aries 18) at 8:20 pm. Again the Moon near Jupiter will be visible in the early morning sky before sunrise. Uranus is most likely not visible to the naked eye as mentioned on July 3 when the Moon last passed this area of the sky. The Moon acts as a catalyst to further energize this Jupiter Uranus connection designed to revolutionize our Earthly experience.
The T-square activation of the Uranus Jupiter aspect today by the Moon is a time to be in the flow that expands conscious awareness into the non-time when we choose it. When we don’t we are often catapulted there through events beyond our control. You can choose to engage this by creating ways to connect with the non-time through meditation, chanting, being in nature, breathing exercises, yoga, running, whatever helps you to move into the space where you have no questions, no thoughts, no sense of passing time. This is the space of Living Ceremony where the unknown can inform your known reality.
Imagine the changes of Western culture, that has so often grown bored with its 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, sterile patterns of technology. To find an outlet into non-time, it has often turned to alcohol, sex and drugs. It is a temporary seduction, caused by imbalance that will only be remedied in “non-time”, in the Silence, in the ONEness.
July 31, Saturday. Mars exactly joins the T-square meeting with Saturn (0 Libra 49) conjunct at 12:40 am. The heroic masculine is about taking action and in the Libra domain this is centered around the mysteries of relationship. All relationships are included. Mars acts to help create the new forms of conscious interpersonal relationship. This is about becoming more actively conscious of the personal aspect and how we are engaging relationship with self and others, with our work, with the planet, with Great Mystery.
Collectively we are preparing to “land the divine” consciously. We must prepare the body to land it. And we must prepare our “landing pad,” our space in the Garden of Earth, to enact our part.
It is an unspeakable enactment, unfathomable by the human mind. This preparation will make us aware of every moment in the Now. When we are aware, each moment is alive, light filled, giving us the cosmic story.

July 06, Tuesday. Mercury is 5 degrees S of Pollux (23 Cancer 15) and about 10 degrees from the Sun in evening sky. Earth is at aphelion.
July 07, Wednesday Tonight, between 10:00 pm and midnight, the waning Moon moves one degree SW of the Pleiades
July 08, Thursday. The Moon moves into Gemini at 12:51 am. Venus opposes Neptune (28 Aquarius 20) at 4:55 pm.
July 09, Friday. At about 6:00 pm, the Moon passes 8 degrees N of Aldebaran. Mercury enters Leo at 9:29 am.
July 10, Saturday. Venus is 1 degree NNE of Regulus in the evening sky, and moves into Virgo at 4:31 am. Venus opposes Chiron at 0 Virgo 21 at 12:04 pm. The Moon reaches the Galactic Cross and Solstice point of 0 Cancer at 4:38 am.
July 11, Sunday. Total Solar Eclipse (19 Cancer) at 12:34 pm, visible in South America, South Pacific, Easter Islands, Chile, and Argentina. New Moon in Cancer is 12:40 pm (19 Cancer 24). The Moon is 7.7 degrees SSW of Pollux, just 5 degrees from Sun around 7:00 pm.
July 12, Monday. The Moon moves into Leo at 5:53 am and is 4 degrees SSW of Mercury (6 Leo 09) at 3:49 pm.
July 13, Tuesday. The Moon is 3.6 degrees SSW of the Beehive Cluster (17 degrees from Sun) in the early evening. Moon is at perigee. Mercury is within .45 degrees NNE of Beehive mid morning (10:00 am)
July 14, Wednesday. Moon is 4.4 degrees SSW of Regulus (0 Virgo)in the early morning sky, at about 5:00 am, and conjuncts Venus at 5 Virgo (5.5 degrees SSW) at 2:14 pm at the 5th gate.
July 15, Thursday. The Moon passes 5.6 degrees SSW Mars (22 Virgo) at 5:30 pm. July 16, Friday. Moon conjuncts Saturn (29 Virgo 37) (5.6 degrees SSW) at 6:46 am activating the T-Square.
July 17, Saturday. 10:00 pm Moon conjuncts Spica (3 degrees SW).
July 18, Sunday. First quarter Moon is 25 Libra 42 at 3:11 am, then moves into Scorpio at 10:42 am.
July 19, Monday. The Moon passes through the Scales and the stars of Zuben Algenubi and Zuben Alshamalie
July 20, Tuesday. Chiron retrogrades back into the sign of Aquarius.
July 21, Wednesday. The Moon passes 2 degrees NNE of Antares (131 degrees from Sun in evening sky), at noon. Saturn moves into Libra at 8:10 am.
July 22, Thursday. The Magdalene Feast Day and the Sun enters Leo.
July 23, Friday. Jupiter (3 Aries 24) goes retrograde at 5:03 am
July 24, Saturday. Moon trine Venus 8:12 am, Jupiter square Pluto (3 Aries 24) at 9:18 pm
July 25, Sunday. Full moon at 3 Aquarius at 6:38 pm, and Lunar Lammas.
July 26, Monday. Mercury is opposite Neptune (28 Leo) at 3:03 am, Saturn opposes Uranus (0 Aries 25) at 10:07 am.
July 27, Tuesday. Mercury is opposite Chiron (29 Leo 42) at 9:18 am and then passes .24 degrees SSW of Regulus (29 Leo 59) moving into 0 Virgo at 2:00 pm—this marks this years closest planetary conjunction of a planet to a 1st magnitude star. Moon passes 4.3 NNW of Neptune (28 Aquarius) at 6 pm. Conjunction is at 8:46 pm.
July 28, Wednesday. Mars is within one degree of Saturn through the end of July.
July 29, Thursday. Mars moves into Libra at 4:46.
July 30, Friday. Mars is opposite Uranus (0 Aries 21) at 6:31 am, the Moon passes 6 degrees NNW of Uranus (0 Aries 21), around 2:23 pm. The Moon passes 6.6 degrees NNW of Jupiter (3 Aries 18), at 8:20 pm.
July 31, Saturday. Mars and Saturn (0 Libra 49) conjunct at 12:40 am
Night Sky Highlights
Deneb, the swan's tail, is the bright star rising in July. This is the eastern most star of the summer triangle. The light that you see when you look at Deneb is 650 years old because it is 650 ly away. The Milky Way goes through the area and if you look closely, you can see gaps in the star field caused by dark clouds of dust in the galaxy's arm.
Vega looks like a bright diamond in the night sky. It is a blue star which means that it is quite hot. Vega is 26 ly away and is in the constellation Lyra. It is the first of the summer triangle to rise.
In the east after dark, look for the summer triangle featuring the fixed stars Vega, Deneb and Altair. These three stars are all found in separate constellations but because they are so much brighter than any of the other stars around them they form a prominent triangle visible in the summer night sky. The most prominent of the constellations associated with the summer triangle is Cygnus, the Swan, whose main stars from a large cross or sword with Deneb at its top. This constellation is popularly known as the Northern Cross but is more commonly know as the Swan with Deneb marking the tail. Altair is the eye of the Eagle known as Aquila and Vega is in the constellation of Lyra. 13,000 years ago Vega was the North Star. Currently our North Star is Polaris. Meteor Showers
Minor meteor showers and early Persied activity are fun to observe throughout July. July 27 is the Pisces Austinids (meteors originate near Fomalhaut the mouth of the Southern Fish) and Delta Aquarids (same are of the sky just higher up) peak. Link to picture
Alpha Capricornid Meteor Showers can begin as early as July 15th and can last as late as August 10th.
According to Guy Ottewell’s Astronomical Calendar the end of July marks the peak of the shower this year. Historically this meteor shower began about 3,500 to 5,000 years but doesn’t really move into the Earth’s path until the 24th century around 2370. This meteor shower can have a peak rate of 2-5 meteors per hour, sometimes having outbursts of bright flaring meteors with rates up to 5-9 meteors per hour. The bulk of the dust will not be in Earth's path until the 24th century. Around 2370 AD, this shower might create an annual meteor storm.
July 2010 Visible Planets (These are the highlights for this month with more details and interpretations shared in the Daily Timings)
Visible Planets
- Sun July 11 Total Eclipse of the Sun at 19 Cancer.
- Mercury comes within 5 degrees S of Pollux on July 6, and .45 degrees NNE of center of Beehive cluster on July 13. On July 27, Mercury is .24 degrees SSW of Regulus, which is the year’s closest planetary conjunction of a planet to a 1st magnitude star.
- Venus is visible in the west in the evening sky, by July 31 Venus is descending below the horizon around 10:30 pm. Over the course of the month, Venus moves through the constellation of the Lion and approaches the Virgin Priestess, within a couple of degrees by month’s end. In the process it opposes Neptune on July 08 (28 Aquarius 20). On July 10, Venus is 1 degree NNE of Regulus in the evening sky.
- Mars is visible in the evening sky and by July 31, is disappearing below the horizon around 11:30 pm. Mars approaches Saturn throughout the month, and they are within a degree from July 28 to the 31, near 1 Libra in the constellation of the Virgin Priestess.
- Jupiter begins traveling retrograde on July 23 at 3 Aries. It is visible in the morning sky, just 2 degrees from Uranus (1 Aries). Both Uranus and Aries are located near the Spring Equinox marker under the circlet of the Fish (a.k.a Pisces)
- Saturn is an evening star in July, setting around midnight, and opposing both Jupiter and Uranus by the end of the month. Saturn and Mars can be seen within a degree of each other from July 28 through July 31.
- Moon begins this month in Pisces moving through all the signs and ending the month in Gemini. See the Daily Timings for more Moon occurrences this month including the visible and non-visible conjunctions with other planets and stars including Aldebaran, Pollux, the Galactic crosses, the Beehive, Regulus, Spica, and Antares.
Outer Planets (not visible to naked eye)
- Uranus (0 Aries 35 to 0 Aries 19) stations retrograde on July 5 at 0 Aries 35 and will station direct on December 6 2010 at 26 Pisces 40. Uranus is near 2 degrees of conjunction with Jupiter through the month of July.
- Neptune (28 Aquarius 27 to 27 Aquarius 49) stationed retrograde May 31 at 28 Aquarius 42 and stations direct on November 7, 2010 at 25 Aquarius 54. Neptune (28 Aquarius 20) opposes Venus (28 Leo 20) on July 8.
- Pluto (03 Capricorn 57 to 03 Capricorn 16) stationed retrograde April 6, 2010 (05 Capricorn 25) and stations direct at 02 Capricorn 47 on September 14 at around 2 Capricorn.
- Chiron (29 Aquarius 29 to 27 Aquarius 58) stationed retrograde on June 10 at 0 Pisces 58 and stations direct November 7, 2010 at 26 Aquarius 04.

Caught on telescope: "impossible" star
Get out of the way, Hollywood. This star will be brighter than every celeb on the planet combined. Scientists’ European-built Herschel space telescope is their version of Tinseltown’s paparazzi, which caught on tape the beginning of a big star. And we mean really, really big. So enormous, it would block out the sun. Not to mention Angelina Jolie.
Researchers can't explain how what they're calling the "impossible" star came to be. The star was discovered in a star-forming cloud in the Milky Way Galaxy called RCW 120. And here's the coolest part: Even as a baby star, it is already eight to ten times larger than our sun, and it's still feeding on the gas and dust clouds around it. The star is set to be one of the biggest and brightest stars in our galaxy within the next few hundred thousand years — meaning, this star won't ever be a part of our lives. But hey, if movies are still around in the way future, this gigunda star should seriously considering signing with a talent agent.
